SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY प्रेसविज्ञप्ति PRESS RELEASE SER TO RUN NAVRATRI SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN JHARSUGUDA – KHURDA ROAD – JHARSUGUDA AND BANGRIPOSI – KHURDA ROAD - BANGRIPOSI Kolkata, 23rd March, 2023: Keeping in view the extra rush of the passengers during Navratri Festival, South Eastern Railway has decided to run Navratri Special trains between Jharsuguda – Khurda Road – Jharsuguda and Bangriposi – Khurda Road - Bangriposi. 08001/08002 Jharsuguda – Khurda Road – Jharsuguda Navratri Special (One pair) 08001 Jharsuguda – Khurda Road Special will leave Jharsuguda at 17.45 hrs on 24.03.2023 and will reach Khurda Road at 05.20 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, 08002 Khurda Road – Jharsuguda Special will leave Khurda Road at 19.00 hrs on 25.03.2023 and will arrive Jharsuguda at 07.50 hrs on the next day. The Special train will have stoppages at Bagdehi, Bamra, Garposh, Rajgangpur, Rourkela, Bisra, Monoharpur, Goilkera, Chakradharpur, Chaibasa, Dangoaposi, Banspani, Kendujhargarh, Harichandanpur, Sukinda Road, Jakhapura, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar stations enroute. 08003/08004 Bangriposi – Khurda Road – Bangriposi Navratri Special (One pair) 08003 Bangriposi – Khurda Road Special will leave Bangiposi at 21.30 hrs on 24.03.2023 and will reach Khurda Road at 04.35 hrs on the next day. East Coast Railway General Manager Shri Manoj Sharma today reviewed the progress of Redevelopment of Railway Stations under ECoR jurisdiction with the concerned officials at ECoR HQs at Rail Sadan, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
Hon’ble Minister of Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw is giving priority for the Development of Railway infrastructure of the region along with various project works going in Odisha and also is monitoring the developmental works regularly.
Keeping in view the above, East Coast Railway General Manager Shri Sharma reviewed the progress of Redevelopment of Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar New, Puri, Cuttack Stations over East Coast Railway jurisdiction.
Shri Sharma also advised concerned officials to speed up the ongoing work and also speed up the process for tendering and architectural planning to improve the overall aesthetic look of the Stations and to focus for the speedy completion of projects.
Shri Sharma further advised officials to work with proper coordination with the all agencies from the grassroots to short-out issues raised during construction of public centric projects and further emphasised upon early completion of targeted works.
Foundation Work for redevelopment of Puri Station has already been started. Shops, Enquiry Counter relocation at Bhubaneswar Station have been completed for redevelopment work. Similarly, Soil investigation is going on for construction of redevelopment of Cuttack Railway Station. Apart from this, the plan for redevelopment of Bhubaneswar New Station is under finalisation.
