दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY प्रेस विज्ञप्ति PRESS RELEASE 66 RAKES CONTAINING MORE THAN 1.34 LAKH TONNES FOOD GRAINS AND SALT HAVE REACHED SER JURISDICTION DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER Kolkata, 21st January, 2021: South Eastern Railway has taken all possible measures in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic to ensure uninterrupted supply of food grains and other essential commodities. As per the guidelines given by the Ministry of Railways, SER has geared up its entire network for unabated movement of goods trains. During the month of December, 2020, altogether 1,34,152 tonnes of food grains and salt have been unloaded from 66 rakes comprising of Rice, Wheat and Salt at different stations and sidings of South Eastern Railway. Out of these 66 rakes, 35 rakes of wheat, 30 rakes of Rice and 1 rake of Salt were unloaded. The rakes were unloaded at different locations of South Eastern Railway viz. Kharagpur, Kalaikunda, Midnapur, Rupsa, Sankrail Goods Terminal Yard, Adra, Purulia, Bankura, Bokaro Steel City, Tatanagar, Tatisilwai, Namkom etc. during the period from 1st December to 31st December, 2020. ……. 2

दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY प्रेसविज्ञप्ति PRESS RELEASE MORE THAN 54 THOUSAND TONNES OF FOOD GRAINS AND SALT HAVE REACHED BY 26 RAKES AT ADRA DIVISION OF SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 2020 Kolkata, 16th January, 2021:
South Eastern Railway has continued its endeavour to ensure transportation of food grains and other essential commodities through its freight services during nationwide crisis in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Railways, SER has geared up its entire network for uninterrupted movement of goods trains. During the period from 1st December to 31st December, 2020, altogether 54,499 tonnes of food grains and salt have been unloaded from 26 rakes which arrived at different stations and sidings of Adra Division of South Eastern Railway. Altogether 37,258 tonnes of wheat was unloaded from 15 rakes and 14,574 tonnes of rice was unloaded from 10 rakes. Moreover, 2,667 tonnes of salt was unloaded from 1 rake. The rakes were unloaded at different locations of Adra Division of South Eastern Railway viz. Purulia, Bankura, Bokaro Steel City, Adra, Chandil etc. during the period from 1st December to 31st December, 2020. The concerned staff of South Eastern Railway have been working at various stations and goods sheds for unloading and loading of food grains and essential commodities maintaining health protocols. Security personnel have also been deployed at different loading and unloading sites for security of food grains and other commodities. ……
