WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN WEEKLY SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN AHMEDABAD â€“ PATNA & OKHA â€“ NAHARLAGUN

WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN WEEKLY SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS

BETWEEN AHMEDABAD â€“ PATNA & OKHA â€“ NAHARLAGUN

EXTENSION OF TRIPS OF SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN BANDRA TERMINUS â€“ BARMER

For the convenience of passengers and with a view to clear the extra rush during the ensuing summer vacation, Western Railway will run Summer Special Trains on Special fare between Ahmedabad â€“ Patna & Okha â€“ Naharlagun. The trips of Bandra Terminus â€“ Barmer is also being extended.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur â€“ Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of these train are as under:

1.Train No. 09417 / 09418 Ahmedabad â€“ Patna â€“ (Weekly) Special [18 Trips]

Train No. 09417 Ahmedabad â€“ Patna Weekly Special will depart from Ahmedabad at 09.10 hrs, every Monday and will reach Patna at 21.05 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 1^stMay, 2023 to 26^th June, 2023.

Similarly, in return direction Train No. 09418 Patna â€“ Ahmedabad Weekly Special will depart from Patna at 23.45 hrs, every Tuesday and will reach Ahmedabad at 11.20 hrs, on Thursday. This train will run from 2^ndMay, 2023 to 27^th June, 2023.

Enroute this train will halt at Nadiad, Chhayapuri, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bharatpur, Achhnera, Mathura, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Jaunpur City, Varanasi, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Buxar, Ara and Danapur stations in both directions.

This train comprises of AC 2 - Tier, AC 3 - Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.

2.Train No. 09525/09526 Okha â€“ Naharlagun Special [26 Trips]

Train No. 09525 Okha â€“ Naharlagun Special will depart from Okha at 22.00 hrs.every Tuesday and reach Naharlagun at 16.00 hrs, on Friday. This train will run from 4^th April, 2023 to 27^th June, 2023.

Similarly, Train No. 09526 Naharlagun - Okha Special will depart from Naharlagun at 10.00 hrs. every Saturday and arrive Okha at 03.35 hrs, on Tuesday. This train will run from 8^th April, 2023 to 1^st July, 2023.

Enroute this train will halt at Dwarka, Khambhaliya, Jamnagar, Hapa, Rajkot, Wankaner, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain, Maksi, Shajapur, Biyavra Rajgarh, Ruthiyai, Guna, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Etawah, Govindpuri, Prayagraj, Gyanpur Road, Banaras, Varanasi, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Chhapra, Hajipur, Shahpur Patoree, Barauni, Begu Sarai, Khagaria, Naugachia, Katihar, Barsoi, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, New Cooch Behar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon, Barpeta Road, Rangiya, Udalguri, New Misamari, Rangapara North, and Harmuti stations in both directions.

Train No. 09037 Bandra Terminus â€“ Barmer Weekly Special which was earlier notified up to 26^thMay, 2023 has been extended upto 30^th June, 2023.

Train No.09038 Barmer â€“ Bandra Terminus Weekly Special which was earlier notified up to 27^thMay, 2023 has been extended upto 1^st July, 2023.

The booking for Train No. 09417 & 09525 and for the extended trips of Train No. 09037will open from 1^st April, 2023 at all PRS Counters and on IRCTC website. In Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC), four sections namely Khurja â€“ Bhaupur (351 km), Bhimsen â€“ Chunar (327 km), Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn â€“ Sonnagar (137) & Khurja â€“ Dadri (46 km) â€“ a total of 861 km have been commissioned so far.

There has been a great impact of DFC as loading organizations like CONCOR and other big cement houses are expected to execute more loading. Initiatives like installation of Solar Photovoltaic Panels on vacant land pockets along DFC tracks and others are being taken.

The business development plan through DFC envisages many other strategies like Development of small cargo business and attracting unconventional freight traffic including modal shift from road to rail through innovative products using RO-RO/ToT model. Besides, DFC has advantages of unused line capacity, high speed and lower operating cost.

The USP of DFC for increasing the freight business are capacity, speed & quality of service. IT packaging, first mile/last mile service, aggregation of e-commerce firms, business generation by incentives and encouraging local merchants for aggregating local produce for rail dispatches from nearby DFCCIL stations are aimed to bring revenue even from non-conventional streams. Besides, non-fare revenues from advertisement rights at Flyovers, RoBs, RuBs, station buildings/structures and Dark Fibre Monetisation have come into existence. There has been renewable energy development in the Land bank & building roofs also.

Besides, the DFC is also using Dedicated Freight Information System (DFIS) which is an in-house developed information system. This application has several models and key performance indicators over WDFC and EDFC monitored through DFIS. The DFIS have the facilities for Live train running details, Digital daily MIS reports, Paperless station management, unusual incidents reporting and impact analysis, Digitalization of important Forms & Authorities, Cadre Management (PME and training details), Business Development Data, analysis and planning & Details of private sidings, Business Development Reports, Loading/Unloading reports and analysis & other important links and works.

DFIS can access actual Freight train running from COA application of IR (through API) and on basis of algorithm embedded in DFIS the Paths of freight train shall be predicted. on basis of expected arrival time at Crew changing point, crew arrangement shall be triggered by DFIS in CMS. Similarly unusual related with railway assets such as loco, wagon, crew etc shall be pushed into ICMS for proper monitoring of asset performance.
