In connection with Line Block/Power Block for engineering works at Bridge No.1162, KM 803/940 to 805/317 between Charvattur and Nileshwar Station, the following changes are made in the pattern of train services as given below:

Partial Cancellation of Train Services:

1.Train No. 22610 Coimbatore – Mangaluru Central Intercity Express leaving Coimbatore Jn at 06.00 hrs o­n 18^th May, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Payyanur and Mangaluru Central. The train will be short terminated at Payyanur

2.Train No. 16323 Coimbatore – Mangaluru Central Express leaving Coimbatore Jn at 07.50 hrs o­n 18^th May, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Charvattur and Mangaluru Central. The train will be short terminated at Charvattur

Rescheduling of Train Services:

1.Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 23.45 hrs o­n 11^th May, 2023 will be rescheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 02.45 hrs o­n 12^th May, 2023 (Late by 3 hrs)

2.Train No. 16606 Nagercoil – Mangaluru Central Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 02.00 hrs o­n 18^th May, 2023 will be rescheduled to leave Nagercoil at 05.00 hrs (Late by 3 hrs)

3.Train No. 06469 Kannur – Charvattur Express Special scheduled to leave Kannur at 17.30 hrs o­n 18^th May, 2023 will be rescheduled to leave Kannur at 18.30 hrs (Late by 1 hr)

Introduction of Vande Bharat Express between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kasaragod

Hon’ble PM to flag off the inaugural service of Thiruvananthapuram Central – KasaragodVande Bharat Express

Hon’ble Prime Minister will flag off the inaugural Service of Vande Bharat Express between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kasaragod o­n 25^th April, 2023 (Tuesday) from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station.  Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri AshwiniVaishnaw, Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and other dignitaries will grace the occasion. 

Vande Bharat Express is a trendsetter in redefining rail travel in our country.  In order to provide an opportunity to children, rail enthusiasts and general public to get a glimpse of the prestigious train service,  the inaugural special of Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express will have stoppages at 14 railway stations enroute.  Further, Souvenir passes for travel in the inaugural special Vande Bharat Express have been issued to press & media, rail fans and school children, among others.

As notified by Railway Board, the service of Vande Bharat Express will be introduced as Train No. 20633/20634 Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Central - KasaragodVande Bharat Express as detailed below:

Train No. 20633 Kasaragod - Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express (Except Thursdays) will leave Kasaragod at 14.30 hrs o­n and from 26^th April, 2023 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 22.35 hrs, the same day

In return direction, Train No. 20634 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express (Except Thursdays) will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 05.20 hrs o­n and from 28^th April, 2023 and reach Kasaragod at 13.25 hrs, the same day
