16309 PATNA EXPRESS

Fixed Time Corridor Block has been approved for facilitating the regirdering of Bridge No.124 located between Mavelikara - Chengannur Railway stations in Thiruvananthapuram Division. Consequently, the following changes have been made in the pattern of train services as detailed below:

Full Cancellation of Train Services:

1.Train No. 06768 Kollam – Ernakulam Unreserved MEMU Special Express  leaving Kollam at 08.00 hrs on 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled 

2.Train No. 06778 Kollam – Ernakulam Unreserved MEMU Express Special leaving Kollam at 11.00 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled 

3.Train No. 06441 Ernakulam – Kollam MEMU Express Special leaving Ernakulam at 20.10 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled 

4.Train No. 16310 Kayankulam – Ernakulam MEMU Express leaving Kayankulam at 15.00 hrs on 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled 

5.Train No. 16309 Ernakulam Jn – Kayankulam MEMU Express leaving Ernakulam at 08.45 hrs on 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled 

6.Train No. 06786 Kollam – Kottayam Special leaving Kollam at 14.35 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled

7.Train No. 06769 Ernakulam – Kollam MEMU Special leaving Ernakulam at 13.35 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled

8.Train No. 06785 Kottayam – Kollam MEMU Special leaving Kottayam at 17.40 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled

9.Train No. 06450 Kayankulam – Ernakulam Express Special leaving Kayankulam at 08.50 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled

10.Train No. 06015 Ernakulam – Alappuzha MEMU Express Special leaving Ernakulam at 16.00 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled

11.Train No. 06452 Alappuzha – Ernakulam Express Special leaving Alappuzha at 18.00 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be fully cancelled

Partial Cancellation of Train Service:

1.Train No. 16366 Nagercoil – Kottayam Express leaving Nagercoil at 13.00 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Kollam and Kottayam. The train will be short terminated at Kollam

Diversion of Train Services:

1.Train No. 17229 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Secunderabad Sabari Express   leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at 06.45 o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri and Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Harippad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

2.Train No. 12625 Thiruvananthapuram Central - New Delhi Kerala Superfast Express   leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at 12.30 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam and Vaikom Road. Additional stoppages will be provided at Harippad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

3.Train No. 16525 Kanniyakumari â€“ KSR Bengaluru Express  leaving Kanniyakumari  at 10.10 hrs o­n 21^st  May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri ,Kottayam, Piravom Road and Tripunithura. Additional stoppages will be provided at Harippad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

4. Train No.12082 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kannur Janshatabdi Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at 14.50 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Chengannur, Tiruvalla and Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Alappuzha and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

5.Train No. 12624 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Dr MGR Chennai Central Mail leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at 15.00 hrs o­n 21st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam and Tripunithura. Additional stoppages will be provided at Harippad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

6.Train No. 12659 Nagercoil – Shalimar Weekly Express leaving Nagercoil at 14.45 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Chengannur, Tiruvalla and Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Alappuzha and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

7.Train No. 12696 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express  leaving  Thiruvananthapuram Central at 17.15 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppage at Mavelikara , Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri and Kottayam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Harippad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

8.Train No. 16304 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Ernakulam Vanchinad Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at 17.45 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam, Piravom Road and Tripunittura. Additional stoppages will be provided at Harippad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha and Cherthala for the convenience of passengers

9.Train No. 16327 Punalur – Guruvayur Express leaving Punalur at 18.25 hrs o­n 21^st May, 2023 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha skipping stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam, Ettumanur, Kuruppantara, Vaikom Road, Piravam Road, Mulanturutti and Tripunittura. Additional stoppages will be provided at Harippad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam for the convenience of passengers

The Salient features for trains at glance 2022 pertaining to Southern Railway, with effect from 01^st October, 2022 as detailed below.

A. New Train service

Train No. 16309 / 16310 Ernakulam Junction – Kottayam – Ernakulam Junction Daily MEMU Express is already introduced in the New Times Table with effect from 02.9.2022 (Inaugural Special flagged off by Hon’ble Prime Minister o­n 01^st September, 2022)

B. Amalgamation of two pairs of Unnerved Express specials to run as o­ne pair of Express trains

The services of Train No. 06480 / 06479 Madurai Junction – Palani – Madurai Junction Unreserved Express Special and Train No. 06462 / 06463 Palani – Coimbatore Junction – Palani Unreserved Express Special to run as single Express between Madurai Junction – Coimbatore Junction.

Accordingly, amalgamated service of Train No. 16722 Madurai Junction – Coimbatore Junction Daily Express leaving Madurai Junction at 07.25 hrs o­n and from 01.9.2022 and reach Coimbatore Junction at 12.45 hrs, the same day.

In the return direction, Train No. 16721 Coimbatore Junction – Madurai Junction Daily Express leaving Coimbatore Junction at 14.05 hrs o­n and from 01.9.2022 and reach Madurai Junction at 19.35 hrs, the same day. 

C. Extension and Amalgamation of trains

Extension of Train No. 16847 / 16848 Mayiladuturai Junction – Dindigul Junction – Mayiladuturai Junction Express extended upto Sengottai by amalgamating with Train No. 06665 / 06662 Madurai Junction – Sengottai – Madurai Junction with effect from 24^th October, 2022 (will be advised separately)
