RPF/ER PROVIDES ALL-ROUND SECURITY TO THE PASSENGERS TIRELESSLY on 24X7 BASIS Kolkata, August 9, 2021: 1)On 4.8.2021, officers & staff of RPF Post/Howrah North rescued a minor girl while she was fund loitering at Howrah station. on query it could be learnt that she was travelling by train from Dharhara to Dashrathpur but could not deboard at her destination as she was asleep and came to Howrah Railway station. The rescued girl was handed over to her mother after proper identification & documentation. 2)On 3.8.2021, on duty RPF officer at Bardhhaman Railway station has rescued and saved the life of a passenger when he tried to board 03091 Mithila Express specially in running motion but unfortunately slipped and was dragging along with the train. But the alert RPF officers came into action and saved him from danger of life risk and assisted him to board train safely. 3)On 3.8.2021, on information of Dy. Station Master/Pakur regarding unknown injured male person aged about 50 years lying near Tarai river bridge between Pakur & Tilbhita Railway stations. Officers & staff of RPF Post/Pakur & GRP attended & shifted him to Sadar Hospital, Sonajuri, Pakur for treatment. Further it could be learnt from local police that he is a mentally sick person. 4)On 4.8.2021, acting on reliable source, officers & staff of RPF Post/Kahalgaon & Excise officials, Bhagalpur recovered unclaimed plastic bag containing 8 bottles foreign liquor valued Rs.3,410/- from 03235 Sahibganj – Danapur Intercity Express special at Pirpainti Railway station and handed over the same to Excise officials, Bhagalpur for next course of action. 5)On 4.8.2021, RPF train escort officials of 03148 Patna – Pune Special recovered an unclaimed mobile phone valued Rs.10,500/- from coach no. S-9 and secured to RPF Main Post/Sealdah. Subsequently the mobile phone was handed over to its owner after proper verification & documentation. 2

RPF/ER RECOVERED 22.5 KG SILVER ORNAMENTS VALUED RS. 8.76 LAKHS FROM 03071 HOWRAH – JAMALPUR EXPRESS SPECIAL Kolkata, May 5, 2021: On 3.5.2021, information was received by RPF/Sahibganj regarding carrying & transporting of illegal silver in 03071 Howrah – Jamalpur Express Special in coach no. S-4 from Howrah to Bhagalpur. The source has provided the photo of the suspected person with details of his clothing, luggage etc. A team was formed by RPF/ER for conducting search & raid. The person has changed his clothing for hiding his identity. At 4.30 hrs. when the train reached Pirpainti Railway station, the team noticed that the suspected person was travelling in berth no. 56 in S-4 coach. The said person was detained. on checking two bags, 22.4 KG of silver ornaments valued Rs.8.76 lakhs with fake invoices were recovered. The person was handed over to State GST, Bhagalpur for necessary legal action.
