38 Trains from (BCT)MUMBAI CENTRAL to (DDR)DADAR

                     FEW WR TRAINS AFFECTED DUE TO BLOCK AT

SAYAN YARD IN SURAT - VADODARA SECTION

In connection with the o­ngoing work to increase speed of New Delhi - Mumbai route to 160 kmph, the work of laying of transition system using Geo cell & blanketing materials o­n the approaches and other related work will be undertaken at Bridge No. 471 at Sayan yard in Surat - Vadodara section. To carry out this work, a block of 4.30 hrs will be undertaken o­n UP line from 13.00 hrs, on Sunday, 18^th June, 2023 and hence few Western Railway trains will be cancelled, partially cancelled, regulated and rescheduled.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of these trains are as under:

Trains Cancelled:

1.Train No. 09158 Bharuch ­– Surat MEMU, journey commencing o­n 18.06.2023

2.Train No. 09082 Bharuch ­– Surat MEMU, journey commencing o­n 18.06.2023

Trains Partially Cancelled:

1.   Train No. 09161 Valsad – Vadodara Passenger Special, journey commencing o­n 18.06.2023 is partially cancelled between Surat & Vadodara

2.   Train No. 09162 Vadodara ­– Valsad Passenger Special, journey commencing o­n 18.06.2023 is partially cancelled between Vadodara & Surat

3.   Train No. 19101 Virar - Bharuch ­Express, journey commencing o­n 18.06.2023 is partially cancelled between Surat & Bharuch

Regulation of Trains:

1.Train No. 19020 Haridwar – Bandra Terminus Express of 17^th June, 2023 will be regulated by 50 minutes

Rescheduled Trains:

1.Train No. 16613 Rajkot – Coimbatore Express of 18^th June, 2023 will be rescheduled by 2.45 hrs Ex Rajkot station.

2.Train No. 20902 Gandhinagar Capital – Mumbai Central Vande Express of 18^th June, 2023 will be rescheduled by 1 hr Ex Gandhinagar Capital station.

WR CONDUCTS SPECIAL SURPRISE TICKET CHECKING DRIVE OVER MUMBAI SUBURBAN LOCAL TRAINS & STATIONS

Almost Rs.6.40 lakh realized in fines from unauthorized travelling through this surprise checking drive

In order to ensure hassle-free, comfortable travel & better services to all bonafide passengers and to deter ticketless travelling, special ticket checking drives are carried out at frequent intervals over Western Railway, in addition to the regular intensive ticket checking drives, especially in the Mumbai suburban section. In this very direction, a special ticket checking drive was conducted in local trains, including AC local trains. Similarly, a surprise check known as ‘Fortress Check’ was also conducted at Nallasopara station.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Mumbai Central Division of WR frequently conducts ticket checking drives and also special drives with an element of surprise to nab unauthorized travellers. A special ticket checking drive was conducted by commercial officers, ticket checking & RPF staff in AC local trains as well as suburban stations from 8^th to 15^th June, 2023. During the check, more than 1560 cases were detected and penalty of more than Rs. 4.90 lakh were recovered from unauthorized commuters.

Shri Thakur further informed that a surprise check was also conducted at Nallasopara station o­n 15^th June, 2023. For this Fortress Check, 21 Ticket Checking staff & 7 RPF personnel were deployed. During the check, 495 cases were detected and an amount of approx. Rs. 1.49 lakh was realized as fine in a single day.

Western Railway appeals all esteemed commuters to travel with a proper and valid ticket, which can be procured through the ticket booking counters or ATVM machines or can be purchased o­nline through UTS App.
