REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR BRIDGE MAINTENANCE WORK IN EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY Kolkata, May 10, 2022: For maintenance of bridge no 1 in between Samastipur & Muktapur stations, 06.00 hours (09:45 hrs. to 14.45 hrs.) Traffic & Power block has been planned on 14.05.2022 (Saturday) & 17.05.2022 (Tuesday). Consequently, 13043 Howrah - Raxaul Express (Journey Commencing on 13.05.2022) & 17005 Hyderabad Decan - Raxaul Express (Journey Commencing on 12.05.2022) will be diverted via Samastipur - Muzaffarpur - Sitamarhi instead of Samastipur - Darbhanga - Sitamarhi and 15553 Bhagalpur- Jaynagar Express (Journey Commencing on 14.05.2022) will be rescheduled by 120 minutes from Bhagalpur. Inconvenience caused to the passengers is deeply regretted. 2

The rail connectivity in the state of Telangana gets another major boost with the commissioning of the 10.45 kms of double line between Mahabubnagar – Divitipalli, which is part of Secunderabad – Mahabubnagar Doubling & Electrification project. The doubling of this crucial section will enhance the Rail connectivity between Hyderabad City and other major cities located towards Southern region such as Kurnool, Anantapur, Kadapa, Bengaluru, Tirupati etc., The project is being executed by the Railway PSU, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). The Secunderabad – Mahabubnagar Doubling & Electrification project is oÂÂne of the crucial projects for strengthening the rail operations in the state of Telangana. The project was sanctioned for a distance of 85 Kms in 2015-16 at an estimated cost of Rs 774 crores. The section between Secunderabad – Umdanagar for a distance of 28 kms has already been completed as part of MMTS Phase I & II. Doubling & electrification works in the balance section i.e., Umdanagar – Mahabubnagar have been progressing swiftly with the completion of different sections in the recent years. Now, with the completion of the 10.45kms stretch between Mahabubnagar - Divitipalli, except for the small portion of 15 Kms between Divitipalli - Gollapalli, major portion of the project is completed. The works in the balance section along with electrification are also nearing completion. All the three stations viz., Divitipalli, Yenugonda and Mahabubnagar in the newly doubled section have been provided with upgraded passenger amenities and advanced Signaling equipment. Electronic interlocking with built-in block interface with operation oÂÂn VDU has been provided at Divitipalli and Mahabubnagar. Double distant signaling has also been provided in the entire section for enhancing the section capacity. Station Master’s Rooms and Signaling Rooms have been aesthetically improved with ergonomic design. ‘A’ class lighting protection enabled at Station buildings. Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, SCR has appreciated the officers and staff of Hyderabad Division and RVNL oÂÂn successful completion of doubling of the stretch between Divitipalli - Mahabubnagar. oÂÂn this Occasion, he instructed the officials to expeditiously complete the rest of the project in the current financial year. He opined that, oÂÂnce the entire section is completed, the traffic congestion in the existing single line section between Secunderabad – Dhone will be eased and it will pave the way for more number of both freight and passenger trains from Secunderabad towards South direction.
