In the return direction, 08026 Secunderabad-Shalimar Examination Special will depart Secunderabad on 16.06.2022 at 14.30 hrs and will reach Shalimar at 21.20 hrs on 17.06.2022. JAMALPUR WORKSHOP BAGGED NEW CONSIGNMENT FROM SAIL FOR 140 TON CRANE MANUFACTURING FROM SAIL Kolkata, February 25, 2022: Eastern Railway Locomotive Workshop, Jamalpur has received the order from Bhilai Steel Plant, SAIL for manufacture of a 140 Ton Crane. The agreement for Rs. 25.11 Crores has been signed between Steel Authority of India Limited, Bhilai through Shri Sumit Singh, Additional General Manager/Loco Repair and Jamalpur Workshop through Shri P N Manjhi, Dy. Chief Mechanical Engineer(Crane)/Jamalpur Workshop on 22.02.2022 at Jamalpur. Earlier, in December 2021, Jamalpur Workshop had signed agreement with Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) for manufacture of four (04) 140 Ton cranes for Rs. 102.13 Crores. Such initiatives have opened the doors for non-railway customer earnings for both Eastern Railway and Jamalpur Workshop. It is worth noting that Jamalpur Workshop is only workshop over Indian Railways to manufacture 140T Rail Crane (Gottwald design). These Break-down cranes with maximum lifting capacity of 140 Ton, has proved to be an indispensable tool for erecting Rail Over Bridges, Overhead Electric Equipment (OHE) etc. These cranes are life saving tool when restoring tracks and Overhead Electric Equipments after major mishappening on track. Indian Railways along with Konkan Railway is having a total of 72 Cranes (22 old design & 50 new design), manufactured by Jamalpur Workshop. |
