Railway Protection Force Personnel Apprehend Two Thieves


The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel apprehended a chain snatcher and a suitcase lifter at two different places o­n 21st May, 2015. The details of the cases are as under:-

1)An unknown person travelling in general compartment of Train No. 17213 Narsapur-Nagarsol Shirdi Express snatched gold chain from a co-passenger (Smt. K. Veeravani) after the train left Basara Railway Station and tried to get down from the running train.  The escorting staff K. Bikshapati, Head Constable, RPF and two constables of Kacheguda Post got down from the train and nabbed the chain snatcher with the help of passengers. The gold chain which was fallen down in the coach was secured and handed over to the owner. The offender was handed over to Government Railway Police (GRP) Nizamabad for further action.

2)In an another incident took place at Hyderabad Railway Station, the RPF & GRP joint team apprehends suitcase lifter at Booking Office/Hyderabad Rly.stn. Sri. V.Ramesh R/o Hydrabad lodged a complaint o­n 21st May, 2015 with GRP/Hyderabad stating that, at about 12.00 hrs, while he was at Booking Office/Hyderabad, an unknown person attempted to commit theft of his luggage, o­n noticing the same he started shouting.  Immediately, joint team of RPF & GRP entered into the scene and apprehended the offender along with the luggage bag. GRP/Hyderabad reregistered a case and are investigating.

South Central Railway Bags Best Railway Rajbhasha Shield From Railway Board


      South Central Railway has been awarded the Best Railway Rajbhasha Shield for outstanding performance in the field of Rajbhasha for the year 2013-2014 at all India level and Secunderabad Division of this Railway has been conferred The Acharya Raghuveer Chal Vaijayanti amongst all the Divisions of Indian Railway. This achievement has brought a unique recognition to S.C.  Railway in recognition of good work done in Rajbhasha Hindi.

       During the meetings of Railway Board Rajbhasha Implementation Committee held o­n 24th March at Rail Bhavan, New Delhi, Shri A.K.Mittal, Chairman Railway Board presented the Rajbhasha Shield for the Best Railway to Shri S.Kabeer Ahmed, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari & Chief Mechanical Engineer/SCR and the Rajbhasha Shield for the best Divisionto Shri Ashesh Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division. Shri Pradeep Kumar, Member Staff and other Officials of Railway Board were also present o­n this occasion. 

     This Railway also has the privilege of organizing “The All India Rail Natyotsav" under the auspices of Railway Board in the month of August, 2014, which was adjudged the best ever organized function. The South Central Railway has always been in lime-light for organizing various Rajbhasha Programmes for Implementation & propagation of Rajbhasha from time to time such as Zonal Rajbhasha Competitions, Hindi Week Celebrations, Technical Seminars etc.

       In spite of being situated in "C" region as per the implementation of Rajbhasha policy of Central Governmnet, the affection and dedication of the Officers and Staff of South Central Railway towards Hindi has been an example for other Zonal Railways. The Officers and Staff of this Railway not o­nly converrse in Hindi but also perform their duties in Hindi. This Railway is known for usage of modern techniques in the field of Rajbhasha.

     Shri P.K.Srivastava, General Manager has congratulated Shri S.Kabeer Ahmed, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari and Chief Mechanical Engineer/SCR Shri Ashesh Agarwal, DRM/Secunderabad and also the officers and staff of Rajbhasha organization of Headquarters and Secunderabad Division for this dual success and also expressed his appreciation to  Officers and Staff for doing outstanding work in the field of Rajbhasha.
