WESTERN RAILWAY TO ATTACH ADDITIONAL COACHES IN 11 PAIRS OF TRAINS o­n TEMPORARY BASIS


For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has decided to augment 11 pairs of trains o­n temporary basis.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of the augmented trains are as under:

1.Train No. 12953/12954 Mumbai Central - H. Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier coach Ex Mumbai Central with immediate effect upto 15th May, 2022 and Ex H. Nizamuddin with immediate effect upto 16th May, 2022.

2.Train No. 22209/22210 Mumbai Central - New Delhi Duronto Express augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier coach Ex Mumbai Central with immediate effect upto 13th May, 2022 and Ex New Delhi with immediate effect upto 14th May, 2022.

3.Train No. 12957/12958 Ahmedabad - New Delhi Swarn Jayanti Rajdhani Express augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier coach with immediate effect Ex Ahmedabad upto 30th May, 2022 and Ex New Delhi with immediate effect upto 1st June, 2022.

4.Train No. 22908/22907 Hapa - Madgaon Express will be augmented with an additional Sleeper Class coach Ex Hapa w.e.f. 4th May to 25th May, 2022 (except o­n 18/05/2022) and Ex Madgaon from 6th May to 27th May, 2022 (except o­n 20th May 2022).

5.Train No. 19578/19577 Jamnagar – Tirunelveli Express augmented with an additional Sleeper Class coach with immediate effect Ex Jamnagar upto 28th May, 2022 and with immediate effect Ex Tirunelveli from 3rd May to 31st May 2022.

6.Train No. 09037/09038 Bandra Terminus – Barmer Special augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier coach with immediate effect Ex Bandra Terminus upto 13th May, 2022 and with immediate effect Ex Barmer upto 14th May, 2022.

7.Train No. 09039/09040 Bandra Terminus – Ajmer Superfast Special will be augmentedwith an additional AC 3-Tier coach Ex Bandra Terminus w.e.f. 4th May to 11th May, 2022 and Ex Ajmer from 5th May to 12thMay, 2022.

8.Train No. 22923/22924 Bandra Terminus – Jamnagar Express augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier coach with immediate effect Ex Bandra Terminus upto 12th May, 2022 and Ex Jamnagar with immediate effect upto 13th May, 2022.

9.Train No. 22903/22904 Bandra Terminus – Bhuj AC Express augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier coach with immediate effect Ex Bandra Terminus upto 15th May, 2022 and with immediate effect Ex Bhuj upto 16th May, 2022.

10.Train No. 09447/09448 Ahmedabad – Patna Clone Special will be augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier and Sleeper Class coaches each Ex Ahmedabad w.e.f. 4th May to 11thMay, 2022 and Ex. Patna from 6th May to 13th May, 2022.

11.Train No. 09465/09466 Ahmedabad – Darbhanga Clone Special augmented with an additional AC 3-Tier and Sleeper Class coaches with immediate effect Ex Ahmedabad upto 13th May, 2022 and Ex Darbhanga with immediate effect upto 16th May, 2022

EFFORT OF ER’S SEALDAH DIVISION TO MAINTAIN SAFETY OF FIELD STAFF PERFORMING DUTY TO RUN FREIGHT SERVICES

 

Kolkata, April 18, 2020:

 

Eastern Railway continuing relentless effort to augment infrastructure to prevent spread of COVID-19 as well as maintaining 24x7 freight & parcel services during lockdown period.

Sealdah Division is doing every bit to contribute to ER’s endeavour of running freight & parcel services for maintaining supply of essential commodities at different areas. The staff at Sealdah Division, Eastern Railway are toiling day and night for maintaining 24x7 freight services. Field staff in Sealdah Division are also provided with medical facilities including daily thermal screening, protective equipment such as sanitizers, masks etc . Those are also being prepared by the division o­n a large scale to obtain self-sufficiency.DRM/Sealdah along with branch officers are also visiting the field staff who are rendering valuable service to maintain the freight services during lockdown period ,enquiring about their well-being and counseling them about the precautionary measures to be followed.

Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway is putting all its possible resources to adopt preventive measures while maintaining the supply line through freight movement, a brief description of which is as follows:

•Proper steps have been taken for sanitization of work place as well as coaches.

•Beliaghata Diesel Shed Laboratory of Sealdah Division has also produced and distributed 800 litres (3500 bottles) of professional quality in-house Sanitiser

•About 14200 face masks have been produced till now.

•Staff are regularly being counseled to maintain social distancing as well as adopt other precautionary methods while rendering essential services.

•As an additional measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, staff performing duties are also thermally screened o­n a day to day basis.

•Aarogya Setu Mobile Application was launched o­n 2nd April, 2020 by Government of India to connect essential health services with the people of India in combating COVID-19. About 18772 staff out of 22907 staff of Sealdah Division and their 19446 family members have installed the app and are actively using it.

 

Besides, Sealdah division has taken up the welfare measures like distribution of meals and essential commodities to the local needy people o­n a day to day basis. The meals are cooked at IRCTC base kitchen Sealdah. Volunteers of Scouts & Guides and several NGOs have also joined hands. RPF in association with other staff distributing meals to the needy people at different places of Kolkata and other districts within the ER network.
