RUNNING OF TRAIN No. 08048 VASCO-DA-GAMA – HOWRAH onE WAY TATKAL SPECIAL South Western Railway has decided to run Train No. 08048 Vasco-Da-Gama – Howrah one Way Tatkal Special on 07.08.2019 as detailed below: - Train No. 08048 Vasco-Da-Gama – Howrah one Way Tatkal Special will depart Vasco-Da-Gama at 07:05 hrs on 07.08.2019 (Wednesday) and arrive Howrah at 22:40 hrs on next day. Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of South Central Railway (SCR) zone conducted daylong flash raids against e-touting (touting activity on the railway tickets booked through online) named as ‘‘OPERATION THUNDER” on 13th June 2019, as per the directions of Director General, Railway Protection Force, New Delhi covering the entire SCR jurisdiction. These raids were conducted at 20 different locations in twin cities i.e. Hyderabad, Secunderabad as well as in other major towns such as Khammam, Vijayawada, Bhimavaram, Nellore, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Nanded & Aurangabad of SCR. In this operation, 122 live e-tickets & 774 used e-tickets totally 896 e-tickets worth Rs.11,66,355 which were booked by the touts on commission basis were seized and arrested 20 touts responsible for it. The different personal User IDs used for such bookings were identified in the raid. During the raids by RPF Teams it is also detected that touts are using prohibited ANMS/Red Mirchi Software for fast booking of tatkal e-tickets. These drives were conducted under the supervision of Sri G.M.Eswara Rao, Inspector General – Principal Chief Security Commissioner, SCR and with the active involvement of Senior Divisional Security Commissioner of the respective divisions. Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR appreciated the efforts of RPF in controlling the touting activity and stated that Railways will initiate stringent action against erring travel agents. on this occasion, General Manager appealed all the rail users to purchase railway reservation tickets from authorized travel agents only and advised to travel with a valid journey ticket.
