Central Railway’s freight loading from April to October 2021 is the Best and Highest ever during April to October.

Central Railway’s freight loading in October- 2021 is also the best ever in any October loading. Central Railway loaded 6.17 million tonnes of freight in October- 2021.

Central Railway transported 6.17 million tonnes of freight in October- 2021, as against 5.75 million tonnes in October- 2020 registering an increase of 7.5%.

Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager, Central Railway said that Central Railway has surpassed the loading target of 6.09 million tonnes this month. This higher freight loading is mainly attributed to initiatives taken by Business Development Units (BDUs) set up by Central Railway at Zonal and Divisional level. Thanks to Business Development Units (BDUs), freight traffic is steadily increasing.
