दकà¥à¤·à¤¿à¤£ पशà¥à¤šà¤¿à¤® रेलवे / SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY At about 11:30 AM today, 1 pair of wheel of a coach (2nd from rear) of Train No. 22625 Dr. MGR Chennai Central - KSR Bengaluru Double Decker Express, derailed at Bisanattam station, (about 20 km from Bangarapet). The train was coming from Chennai to Bengaluru. Immediately senior officers of Bengaluru Division have rushed to spot with Accident Relief Train (ART) for restoration. General Manager Shri Sanjeev Kishore and senior officers of SWR are at Zonal HQ,Hubballi and are monitoring the situation from Disaster Management Cell, Hubballi. There is NO injury/casualty Mail-Express Train services are not affected. The front portion, ie the unaffected portion of the train left for Bangarapet with all passengers. Passengers of the derailed coach i.e., C1 have been adjusted in coach no C2, C3 & C4. Efforts are on, for early restoration. Helpdesks have been set up at KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantt and Bangarapet stations for the convenience of passengers/public. Further updates will follow. Aneesh Hegde 2
