दक्षिण पश्चिम रेलवे/ SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY प्रेस विज्ञप्ति/ Press Release No. 159 Dt: 28.05.2021 ALERT RPF STAFF ENSURING SECURITY & PROTECTION OF PASSENGERS AND RAILWAY PROPERTY Railway Protection Force is looking after the protection and safeguard of railway passengers, passenger areas and railway property. RPF of South Western Railway working diligently to ensure security of passengers and railway property. Yesterday RPF staff during their routine check in trains and at station premises, have noticed following irregularities and took action under Railways Act. UNCLAIMED LIQUOR BOTTLES SEIZED AT KULEM STATION On 27.05.2021, on-duty RPF Constable, Shri Sharanbasava R. found one unclaimed plastic bag in disabled compartment of Train No. 07340 Vasco-da-gama - Yesvantpur Express at Kulem station. The bag was containing 12 Nos. of liquor bottles of Royal stag reserve whisky with MRP of Rs. 300/- each. The total value of Liquor was Rs. 3600/-. These Liquor bottles were seized and handed over to Excise Inspector at Sanguem for further disposal. RPF SEIZED UNAUTHORISED WATER BOTTLES AT CASTLEROCK On 27.05.2021, Assistant Sub Inspector of RPF, Castlerock detained one authorized vendor for selling unauthorized water bottles in Train No. 02779 Vasco-da-gama – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express. A total 156 Nos. unauthorized water bottles have been seized from him and a case has been registered at Castle Rock Outpost under various sections of Railways Act. UNCLAIMED LIQUOR BOTTLES SEIZED AT BANGARPET On 27.05.2021, RPF Constable of Bangarpet checked Train No. 07210 KSR Bengaluru - Kakinada Town Seshadri Express at Bangarpet Railway station and during the rounds, he noticed some unclaimed bags. These bags contained Liquor in tetra packs of different brands worth a total value of Rs. 13,487/-. These liquor bags were seized and brought to RPF/Post/Bangarpet. Flood has affected nearly 30 districts of Assam. As a result of flood, the Road connectivity between upper and lower Assam is also affected resulting into problems of travelling public. Heavy rush has resulted in trains due to disruption of road communication. To mitigate the problem of stranded passengers, N.F. Railway has decided to add additional coaches in some popular trains connecting important cities of upper and lower Assam. The details are as under:- 1. one Second class coach will be added in i) 12068/12067- Guwahati - Jorhat Town Jan Shatabdi Express, ii) 55725/55726- New Jalpaiguri-Alipurduar Jn passenger, iii) 55753/55754- Alipurduar – Guwahati passenger, iv) 15717/15718- Guwahati-Mariani passenger, v) 55820/55819- Guwahati-Mendipathar passenger from 17 to 24 July, 2019. 2. Two Second class coaches will be added in i) 15928/15927- New Tinsukia- Rangiya Express on 17,20,21,23, & 24 July, 2019 from New Tinsukia and on 19,20,22 & 23 July, 2019 from Rangiya, ii) 15968/15967- Dibrugarh- Rangiya Express on 18,19 & 22 July, 2019 from Dibrugarh andon 17, 18, 21 & 24 July, 2019 from Rangiya.
