Shri K. Arul Jothi took charge as Inspector General cum Principal Chief Security Commissioner (IG-cum-PCSC) of Northeast Frontier Railway on 24th March, 2023. He is an officer from the 1995 batch of Civil Services Exam. As IG-cum-PCSC he will be the security custodian of all Railway assets, structures including track and fixtures, rolling stock, signalling gears and Railway buildings and establishments like Station premises, Booking Offices, Administrative Head Quarters etc. within the jurisdiction of N. F. Railway i.e. all north-eastern states including Sikkim and parts of West Bengal and Bihar. Shri Jothi has wide experience of working in field over many Zonal Railways. He has worked in many sensitive areas such as Mughal Sarai, Danapur, Malda, Sealdah and Secunderabad. Earlier in the year 2017-2019 he was posted as Deputy Inspector General cum Chief Security Commissioner of N. F. Railway. Before joining as the IG-cum-PCSC of Northeast Frontier Railway, he was posted as the IG-cum-PCSC of Rail Wheel Factory based at Yelahanka, Bangalore. (Sabyasachi De) CPRO/N.F.Railway 2

दकà¥à¤·à¤¿à¤£à¤ªà¥‚रà¥à¤µà¤°à¥‡à¤²à¤µà¥‡ SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY पà¥à¤°à¥‡à¤¸à¤µà¤¿à¤œà¥à¤žà¤ªà¥à¤¤à¤¿ PRESS RELEASE WOMEN PASSENGERS RESCUED BY RPF PERSONNEL AT PURULIA STATION Kolkata, 30th November, 2021: Two lady passengers who deboarded from the running 22857Santragachi-Anand Vihar Express got unbalanced and tripped on the platform at Purulia Station on 29th November, 2021 at about 15:04 hours. Noticing this incident, Sri Bablu Kumar, on duty Sub-Inspector of Railway Protection Force of Purulia Post, rushed to the site and rescued them.Thus a mishap has been averted due to constant vigil and alertness of the RPF personnel. On enquiry, it is revealed that the lady passengers intended to go to Jhalida from Purulia Station but by mistake they boarded 22857Santragachi-Anand Vihar Express instead of 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express. on realising their mistake, they jumped out from the moving train. Both the women were given first aid immediately and provided with other necessary assistance at the station. Railway Authority appeals to its travelling passengers to refrain themselves from boarding/deboarding a running train. It can be extremely dangerous and even fatal. ***********
