Press Release:CONFERENCE ON NATIONAL PENSION SCHEME ORGANISED BY ER’S HOWRAH DIVISION



Kolkata, March 22, 2023:

For spreading awareness about National Pension Scheme (NPS) an awareness building conference organized by Howrah Division at  Divisional Railway Manager’s Conference Hall o­n 21.3.2023, in association with ICICI Prudential Funds Management Company Limited for making railway officials aware about the benefits of National Pension Scheme. The basic facilities of NPS like market link scheme, regular subscriber contribution in the pension account, withdrawal facilities, provision of voluntary increases of contribution in NPS, o­nline access facilities, etc. were discussed by organizing such meeting, seminar in division, the officials were delighted to know it’s benefits.

DRM / Howrah also advised for organizing such seminar at major stations, depots and railway offices over Howrah Division the like Howrah car shed, Bandel, Barddhaman, Rampurhut etc. to spread the awareness about NPS among the ER staff. National Pension System (NPS) is a voluntary, defined contribution retirement savings scheme designed to enable the subscribers to make optimum decisions regarding their future through systematic savings during their working life. NPS seeks to inculcate the habit of saving for retirement amongst the citizens. It is an attempt towards finding a sustainable solution to the problem of providing adequate retirement income to every citizen of India.

Press Release:MULTIPURPOSE HEALTH CAMP ORGANIZED AT RAILWAY HEALTH UNIT, BARDDHAMAN


Kolkata, March 22, 2023

In an endeavour to provide super-specialty standard medical facilities to its employees & beneficiaries, a Multipurpose Health Camp was organized at Railway Health Unit, Barddhaman under the guidance of Dr. Debasish Guha, Chief Medical Superintendent/Howrah o­n 22.03.2023. Around 75 Railway Beneficiaries availed the opportunity by attending the Multipurpose Health Camp. The specialists from Orthopaedic Hospitals attended the programme to provide care to Railway Beneficiaries in Medicine, Paediatrics, ENT, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics and Dental disciplines.

In the health camp, Blood Pressure, Weight and Height of each patient was recorded followed by blood sample collection for routine investigations.  ECG was also done for the patients as advised by general physician. 

Dr. Debasis Guha, Chief Medical Superintendent/Howrah, Dr. Venkateshwar Pandey, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent/Health & Family Welfare/Howrah), Dr. Asish Kumar Bhattacharya, Dr. Chaitali Patra, Dr. Indrajit Chatterjee, Dr. Sukhen Garai, Dr. Rukmini Das, Dr. Gulam Sarwar Khan from Howrah participated in the programme. Dr Nishant Dhiman ADMO/Barddhaman and Dr. Kaustav Maity organized the programme successfully along with the medical and paramedical staff of Howrah and Barddhaman. The programme was successful in taking health care to the vicinity of the Railway Beneficiaries.
