ER OBSERVED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY Kolkata, March 08, 2021: Eastern Railway observed International Women’s day today (08.03.2021) at its Headquarter’s offices as well as the four divisions viz. Howrah, Sealdah, Asansol and Malda in a befitting manner. on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Eastern Railway has taken a series of steps towards empowerment of Lady employees as well as making Railways a pleasant working place for woman. As a part of celebration of International women’s Day, Shri Manoj Joshi, General Manager, Eastern Railway honoured lady woman employees working in different fields of Railway Organization. Shri Aneet Dulat, Additional General Manager and other Senior Officers were also present on this occasion. On the International Women’s Day, Women loco pilot of Sealdah Division was working in a special train from Dum Dum Jn – Barddhaman. All the staff working today in Malda Town Station including Station Master, Enquiry Clerks, security, Crew lobby and PRS Waiting Hall were women only. In Howrah Division, a painting exhibition in 63522 Asansol – Barddhaman MEMU train reached Barddhaman station from Asansol to commemorate International Women’s Day – a tribute to Women’s Contribution in Society. The colourful painting inside the coach depicted that women forces shoulder responsibility in building the society as they dedicated their lives all along towards their family as well as for the Nation including in crisis situation like COVID-19 pandemic. A painting exhibition in a MEMU train at Asansol station was dedicated to commemorate International Women’s Day – a tribute to Women’s contribution in society. These steps signifies Eastern Railways commitment towards gender equality and women’s empowerment. Women employees working in different stations, units in all the Divisions and Workshops of Eastern Railway were felicitated for their outstanding performances on this day. A large number of women employees in strategic positions are doing exceptionally well helping Railways in smooth operations with their dedicated services. 2

RESTORATION OF SIX MEMU PASSENGER TRAIN SERVICES OVER ASANSOL- DURGAPUR – BARDDHAMAN SECTION OF EASTERN RAILWAY Kolkata, March 06, 2021: For the convenience of passengers, services of Six (6) MEMU passenger trains will be restored with effect from 07.03.2021(Sunday) as follows: • 63506 Asansol – Barddhaman Passenger (Asansol Departure time 04:55 hrs.). • 63522 Asansol–Barddhaman Passenger (Asansol Departure time 16:10 hrs.). •63528 Asansol – Durgapur Passenger (Asansol Departure time 20:25 hrs.). •63507 Barddhaman- Asansol Passenger (Barddhaman Departure time 05:18 hrs.). •63509 Barddhaman- Asansol Passenger (Barddhaman Departure time 07:30 hrs.). • 63527 Durgapur - Asansol Passenger (Durgapur Departure time 22:25 hrs.). |
