Kolkata, March 24, 2023 : Due to pre non-interlocking/ non-interlocking work in connection with Mohanpur – Hansdiha new Broad Gauge line project, traffic and power block has been planned from 25.03.2023 to 31.03.2023. Consequently, following arrangements in train running have been made :- Cancellation from 25.03.2023 (Saturday) to 31.03.2023 (Friday) : 03485/03486 (Godda – Hansdiha – Godda) 03457 (Dumka – Hansdiha) 03441 (Hansdiha – Bhagalpur) 03444/03443 (Bhagalpur – Hansdiha – Bhagalpur) Reschedule: 18186 Godda – Tatanagar Express (journey commencing on 28.03.2023), 12349 Godda – New Delhi Express (journey commencing on 27.03.2023), 18604 Godda – Ranchi Express (journey commencing on 26.03.2023 & 29.03.2023) will be rescheduled from Godda at 16:05 hrs. Reschedule from 25.03.2023 to 31.03.2023 : 03455 (Dumka – Godda) will be rescheduled by 2 hours. 03482 (Bhagalpur – Godda) will be rescheduled at 14:00 hrs instead of 10:45 hrs. 03456 (Godda – Dumka) will be rescheduled at 18:20 hrs instead of 15:45 hrs. Moreover, 01 Passenger Special will run from Dumka to Bhagalpur, leaving Dumka at 15:45 hrs. from 25.03.2023 to 31.03.2023. Inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted. 2

Kolkata, March 22, 2023 : Eastern Railway’s Malda Division has conducted a major yard remodeling work for extension of line no. 1 & 2 of Malda yard. All the departments like Electrical, Signal & Telecom and Engineering worked in well-coordination in this remodeling work under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager/Malda. In this remodeling work, a total of 7 points have been shifted for increase in platform line length. The work of shifting of position of points (i.e. crossings) is being done with the state-of-the-art T-28 Machine and has been monitored by the officers of Malda Division. This yard remodeling and extension of platform line of Malda Town station will improve mobility, holding capacity and interchange of trains between Eastern Railway and Northeast Frontier Railway. This will improve traffic facilities in Malda yard and boost in mobility across the important Railway routes connecting North Eastern part of India with the rest of the country. It will enable Malda yard to receive longer trains on two of its crucial platform lines which will lead to better punctuality and reduction in detention of trains. By increasing the flexibility of operation, the remodeling will improve movement of essential commodities like rice, fertilizers, salt etc to North Bengal and North Eastern states.
