RPF/ER PROVIDES ALL ROUND SECURITY TO THE PASSENGERS Kolkata, December 21, 2022 Railway Protection Force (RPF)/Eastern Railway continuing their endeavour to ensure security of passengers at railway premises with special emphasis to protective shield for women and children. 1.On 20.12.2022, under ‘Operation Nanhe Fariste’, Train Escort officials (RPF Post/Jamalpur) of 13416 Patna-Malda Intercity Express rescued a deaf & dumb minor girl who was roaming aimlessly in the above train and was handed over to Child Line/Bhagalpur under due documentation for further disposal. on the same day, officials of RPF Post/Asansol (West) rescued a teenage boy who was roaming aimlessly at Asansol Railway Station. He was also handed over to Child Line/Asansol under due documentation for further disposal. 2.On 20.12.2022, under ‘Operation Mahila Suraksha’, officials of RPF/ER arrested 55 persons who were travelling in compartment reserved for Ladies. They were prosecuted under the provision of section 162 of Railway Act. 3.On 18.12.2022, under ‘Operation Amanat’, officials of RPF Post/Asansol (West) retrieved a left behind bag containing one HP Laptop with charger, important documents, personal belongings total valued ₹ 33000/- from 22387 UP Black Diamond Express at Asansol Railway Station. Subsequently, on 19.12.2022 the recovered bag was handed over to its owner after proper verification & documentation. 4.On 19.12.2022, under ‘Operation Sewa’, officials of RPF Post/Howrah (North) rescued an un-well male person lying at Howrah Railway Station. After necessary assistance he was shifted to General Hospital for treatment. 2
