Press Release:INTRODUCTION OF NEW LHB RAKE FOR KOLKATA – NANGAL DAM AND KOLKATA – AZAMGARH EXPRESS



Kolkata, April 06, 2023:

  For the sake of convenient and safe travelling experience of passengers, the rakes of 12325/12326 Kolkata – Nangal Dam - Kolkata Express (leaving Kolkata with effect from 13.04.2023 and leaving Nangal Dam with effect from 15.04.2023) and 13137/13138 Kolkata – Azamgarh - Kolkata Express (leaving Kolkata with effect from 17.04.2023 and leaving Azamgarh with effect from 18.04.2023) will be converted to LHB rake from conventional ICF rake.

  It may be mentioned here that, LHB coaches have the advantages of being more spacious and comfortable with augmented passenger amenities for a hassle-free journey from safety point of view also.

Press Release:REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR NI WORK OVER NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY



Kolkata, March 10, 2023

Due to pre-non interlocking/ non interlocking work in connection with yard remodelling at Indara station and doubling work of Indara-Kirihrapur section over North Eastern Railway from 11.03.2023 to 30.03.2023, the following arrangements in train running have been made:

Diversion:
15050 Gorakhpur – Kolkata express (Journey commencing o­n 15.03.2023, 18.03.2023, 22.03.2023, 25.03.2023 & 29.03.2023) will be diverted via Bhatni – Siwan – Chhapra instead of its schedule route Bhatni – Mau – Indara – Ballia – Chhapra.
15049 Kolkata – Gorakhpur express (Journey commencing o­n 26.03.2023 & 29.03.2023) will be diverted via Chhapra – Siwan – Bhatni instead of its schedule route Chhapra – Phephna – Mau – Bhatni.

Short termination/short origination:
13137 Kolkata - Azamgarh express (Journey commencing o­n 13.03.2023, 20.03.2023 & 27.03.2023) will be short terminated at Chhapra instead of Azamgarh and 13138 Azamgarh – Kolkata express (Journey commencing o­n 14.03.2023, 21.03.2023 & 28.03.2023) will be short originated from Chhapra instead of Azamgarh.
Moreover, 15050 Gorakhpur – Kolkata express (Journey commencing o­n 11.03.2023, 15.03.2023, 18.03.2023, 22.03.2023, 25.03.2023 & 29.03.2023) will be re-scheduled by 120 minutes from Gorakhpur.

Inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.
