Press Release:REVISED TIMINGS & STOPPAGES OF GODDA -RANCHI SPECIAL



Kolkata, April 8, 2023

To clear extra rush of passengers, o­ne (1) pair special train will run between Godda & Ranchi via Deoghar which was informed earlier. The train will be diverted via Barkakana, Muri and will not touch at Bokaro Steel City in both directions. Due to this diversion the timings & stoppages of the special train has been revised as under:-

03401 Godda - Ranchi Special will leave Godda at 14:45 hrs. o­n 10.04.2023 to reach Ranchi at 04:00 hrs. o­n the next day. 03402 Ranchi – Godda special will leave Ranchi at 18:00 hrs. o­n 11.04.2023 to reach Godda at 07:00 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at Prayahat, Gangawara Halt, Hansdiha, Kumarhat, Nonihat, Barapalashi, New Madanpur, Dumka, Jama, Basukinath, Chandanpahari, Dhanpatdih, Ghormara, Sirsa Nunthar Halt, Mohanpur, Deoghar, Jasidih, Kumrabad Rohini, Sankarpur, Arjunnagar, Mathurapur, Nawapatra, Madhupur, Joramo, Madankatta, Vidyasagar, Jamtara, Chittaranjan, Barakar, Dhanbad, Katrasjarh, Chandrapura & Muri stations in both directions en-routh. 


The train will have general second class, sleeper class coaches. Booking of tickets for the above special is available through PRS & Internet.

Press Release:MULTI-PURPOSE HEALTH CAMP ORGANIZED AZIMGANJ RIALWAY HEALTH UNIT



Kolkata, April 7, 2023

A Multi Purpose Health Camp was organized at Azimganj Railway Health Unit recently wherein Dr. Rudrendu Bhattacharya, Principal Chief Medical Director/ Eastern Railway  attended the programme. He stressed the importance of organizing Multipurpose Health Camp in the remotest Health Unit of Howrah Division so that medical care may be provided in all disciplines to Railway Beneficiaries. 

Dr. Debasis Guha, Chief Medical Superintendent, Howrah, Dr. Partha Sarthi Mitra, Additional Chief Medical Director/Health & Family Welfare/ Eastern Railway, Dr. Venkateshwar Pandey, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent/ Health & Family Welfare/Howrah, Dr. Subimal Gupta (General Surgery), Dr. Asish Kumar Bhattacharya/Medicine, Dr. Debjani Mukherjee/Eye, Dr. Chaitali Patra/Paediatrics, Dr. Sukhen Garai/Gynaecologist, Dr. Indraneel Dey/Orthopaedics, Dr. Supriyo  Gupta/Pathology participated in the programme to provide care to the Railway Beneficiaries in their respective discipline. Dr. Tazdar Ahmad/CMP/AZ along with the staff of Azimganj Health Unit and Orthopaedic Hospital, Howrah organized the programme.

Weight, Height, BP of each patient was measured followed by Blood collection for basic investigation. ECG was done as advised by Physician. A well baby show was organized and 23 children took part and they were given token awards to motivate them and their parents. About 128 Railway Beneficiaries availed the opportunity. A plantation programme was  also organized in the Health Unit premises. Principal Chief Medical Director inspected the Health Unit and suggested the steps to improve the standards. A cultural programme was also organized in the Railway Institute, Azimganj. The children of Railway community displayed their talent in Dance, song, recitations, yoga etc. The programme was very successful and Prizes were distributed to the participants.
