WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN SUMMER SPECIAL TRAIN on SPECIAL FARE BETWEEN UDHNA - BHAGAT KI KOTHI & BANDRA TERMINUS - GORAKHPUR For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has decided to run summer special train on Special fare between Udhna - Bhagat Ki Kothi and between Bandra Terminus - Gorakhpur. According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of the train are as under: 1.Train No. 04814/04813 Udhna – Bhagat Ki Kothi Superfast Special [8 TRIPS] Train No. 04814 Udhna – Bhagat Ki Kothi Special will depart from Udhna every Sunday at 05.50 hrs. & will reach Bhagat Ki Kothi at 18.00 hrs. the same day. This train will run from 11th June, 2023 to 02nd July, 2023. Similarly, Train No. 04813 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Udhna Superfast Special will depart from Bhagat Ki Kothi every Saturday at 16.00 hrs. & will reach Udhna at 04.00 hrs. the next day. This train will run from 10th June, 2023 to 01st July, 2023. Enroute this train will halt at Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Sabarmati, Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Marwar, Pali Marwar and Luni stations in both directions. This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second-Class Coaches. 2.Train No. 05054/05053 Bandra Terminus - Gorakhpur Special [2 Trips] Train No. 05054 Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on Saturday, 10th June, 2023 at 22.45 and reach Gorakhpur at 06.25 hrs on Monday. Similarly, Train No. 05053 will depart from Gorakhpur on Friday, 9th June, 2023 at 09.30 hrs and arrive Bandra Terminus at 16.00 hrs, the next day. Enroute this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Gangapur City, Agra fort, Tundla, Kanpur Central, Aishbag, Badshah Nagar, Gonda, Basti and Khalilabad stations in both directions. This train comprises General Second Class coaches. The booking for Train No. 04814 will open from 09.06.2023 at all PRS Counters and on IRCTC website. Southern Railway has taken up Katpadi Station redevelopment in order to offer a world-class ambience, futuristic infra and airport-like facilities for passengers. Tender was awarded for the redevelopment in September 2022 and the redevelopment work is progressing at a steady pace. Works executed recently ·Architectural & structural drawing of Phase-I & Phase II buildings. ·Environment monitoring survey completed. ·GRIHA rating for Katpadi station Redevelopment work. ·Project Management Site Office construction completed. ·Staff quarters footing work completed. Other works in progress ·Site laboratory & mess construction work in progress. ·Setting up of a Batching plant in progress. ·Architectural & structural Design of the Station Buildings, Multi-level Car Parking, Multi-level Two-wheeler Parking, Foot-Over-Bridge, Air-Concourse & other buildings in progress. ·Staff quarters foundation backfilling in progress. ·Site cleaning & Marking for Scout, Artesian, RPF barrack in progress. Works executed So far ·Master Plan Validation completed. ·Traffic Survey work completed. ·Utility Scanning completed. ·Preliminary works such as Mapping and Topographical survey, drone survey, DGPS Survey, Traffic survey, tree inventory, joint inventory of movable and immovable assets. ·All kind of Soil test (Geotechnical investigation) completed at various locations. ·Project management Services have commenced work. ·Site clearance work completed for building locations for Phase-I & Phase II. ·Right of way, which is a legal right to enter and carry out the work, has been provided to the EPC contractor for construction of Phase-I building for Staff quarters (Type-II - 16 units, 2 blocks), Barrack and Scout, P- way and Signal Warehouse, SSE Tele/Signal yard space, Gang tool cum Restroom Artisans room, Parcel/RMS office and Elevated trolley path, MLCP/MLTP and PWAY shed, Sump, STP , Solid waste management System including incinerator, External Service, Departure Air Concourse & Departure terminal building. ·On a regular basis project review meetings are held with the stakeholders of the project. ·Fabrication of Sign boards & barricades completed. Katpadi (KPD) Station Redevelopment works The work of redevelopment of Katpadi Railway station was awarded as EPC contract to M/s Engineering Projects (India) Ltd, Chennai at a cost of Rs. 329.32 Crore, setting a time frame of 36 months from D Date, i.e. from 01-12-2022, for completion of the project. M/sVoyants Solutions Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon have been tasked with the work of Project Management services (PMS) at a cost of Rs.7.89 Crore. Two terminals (Arrival & Departure) are proposed to be constructed in the southern side, connected by Air concourses while arrival & departure lobby will be constructed in the Northern side. The Terminal Buildings will be equipped with world class amenities like waiting lounge, ticketing area, commercial area and Roof plaza etc. Elevated skywalks and subways with adequate lifts/escalators will connect both of these terminals to the bus stand thus enabling hassle-free inter-modal connectivity. A dedicated space for handling parcels will also be constructed.
