Kolkata, April 26, 2023: Eastern Railway’s Administrative Building of Kanchrapara workshop has received prestigious “IGBC (INDIAN GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL) GREEN EXISTING BUILDING PLATINUM†rating by CII (Confederation of Indian Industries) on April 2023. Kanchrapara Workshop is the first workshop in Eastern Railway to achieve Platinum rating for Green Existing Buildings. Sri Arun Arora, General Manager/ Eastern Railway congratulates all staff and Officers of Kanchrapara Workshop for achieving this prestigious recognition. Key green initiative measures undertaken by Kanchrapara Workshop are detailed as under: Installation of 560 KWp capacity of Solar PV modules. Retrofitting of waterless urinals in existing urinals and Aerator on water fixtures. Vertical Garden 100% LED Lighting Properly Segregate Central waste yard Eco Friendly Chemicals Facility for differently able People, wellbeing facility and so on. On Site waste water Treatment Plant. 2

Kolkata, July 20, 2023: Railway Protection Force/Eastern Railway, in its endeavour to provide all round assistance to the passengers, renders all possible help for commuters as & when situations demand. They are always on toes to extend their helping hand to secure all round security. In a step forward, Workshop Railway Hospital, Kanchrapara, Eastern Railway has organized a First-Aid workshop as a part of Orientation Course at Multi-Disciplinary Specialized Training Institute (MDSTI), Kanchrapara on 19.04.2023 for RPF personnel so as to provide full scale security to the rail users. A total of 88 RPF staff were imparted the Orientation Course and also imparted First Aid Training for Management of the unconscious passengers, first aid for wounds, bleeding, fractures and burn with live demonstration of use of various dressing materials, bandages, slings and splints were delivered. First Aid classes were conducted by Dr. Satya Kinkar Dey, Sr.Divisional Medical Officer/Kanchrapara and his team. The training session was immensely helpful for RPF personnel to provide maximum possible assistance for passengers even beyond their domain of expertise. |
