Financial year 2019-20 has been exceptionally well for Indian Railway on safety front and so far Nil passenger causality is reported in 11 months.

To further add to safety as well as to avoid detention to trains, NCR is planning to install repeater signal at all major stations. At big stations specially at PFs located on curvature, visibility of starter signal to guard is sometime gets restricted which lead to detention of trains and also pose safety threat. To assist Guard, repeater signal which repeats aspect of starter signal is installed at suitable location for easy visibility to Guard thus safe and fast train operations. General ManagerShri Rajiv Chaudhry instructed that all locations requiring repeater signals be equipped at the earliest.

On punctuality front General Manager said that we have to keep momentum of punctuality improvement going on which has improved by more than 16% in this financial year till Jan-20 with that of corresponding year of last year.Average detention to trains getting late on NCR territory has also reduced.
