RAILWAY MINISTER SHRI ASHWINI VAISHNAW JI REVIEWED THE PROGRESS o­n MALKANAGIRI - BHADRACHALAM RAIL LINE PROJECT:


 
Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways and Communication & Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw in his visit to Malkanagiri, Odisha o­n 22.04.2022 (Friday) discussed about Malkanagiri - Bhadrachalam Rail Line Project with Railway officials, public representatives at Malkanagiri.


173.416 KMs long Malkanagiri - Bhadrachalam Rail Line Project has been sanctioned by Railway Board o­n 9th September, 2021 with an approx estimated cost of Rupees 2800 Crores. This project will have 213 bridges including 48 Major and 165 Minor bridges.


This proposed project will have Stations at Malkanagiri, Badali, Kowasiguda, Rajanguda, Maharajpalli & Lunimanguda in Odisha and Kannapuram, Kutugutta, Pallu, Nandigama, Bhadrachalam & Pandurangapuram in Telengana. 


Estimated cost for conducting survey (FLS) is 307.64 Lakhs sanctioned in January, 2022. Contact awarded o­n 27th February, 2022 for Rupees 231 Lakhs. After studying various aspect of this project, the alignment has been fnialised. By June, 2022, the survey works will be completed.

WR PROVIDES ADDITIONAL STOPPAGE TO TRAIN NO. 19217/19218 BANDRA TERMINUS – VERAVAL EXPRESS AT KESHOD STATION

For the convenience of passengers, Western Railway has decided to provide additional stoppage to Train No. 19217/19218 Bandra Terminus - Veraval Express at Keshod station o­n experimental basis for a period of six months.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the stoppage at Keshod station is being implemented with effect from 17th March, 2022 Ex Bandra Terminus as well as Veraval. Train No. 19217 Bandra Terminus - Veraval Express will arrive Keshod at 06.00 hrs and depart at 06.01 hrs. Similarly, Train No. 19218 Veraval -Bandra Terminus Express will arrive Keshod at 12.27 hrs and depart at 12.28 hrs.
