POWER & TRAFFIC BLOCK FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ROAD OVERBRIDGE

Kolkata, November 04, 2019

          For construction of road overbridge in lieu of road under bridge between Madhupur and Joramow stations in main line section of Asansol Division, three (3) hours Power & Traffic Block from 14:10 hrs. to 17:10 hrs. will be imposed o­n that section o­n 05.11.2019, 07.11.2019 & 09.11.2019. Consequently, following arrangements in train running have been made:-

Rescheduling of trains

·13007 Howrah – Sri Ganganagar Udyan Abha Toofan Express will be rescheduled by 140 minutes from Howrah o­n the days of block.

·15233 Kolkata – Darbhanga Express will be rescheduled by 125 minutes from Kolkata o­n 07.11.2019.

·15235 Howrah – Darbhanga Express will be rescheduled by 125 minutes from Howrah o­n 09.11.2019.

·63568 Jhajha – Asansol MEMU passenger will be rescheduled by 150 minutes from Jhajha o­n the days of block.

Besides, 22643 Ernakulam – Patna Express will be controlled enroute suitably between Adra & Asansol o­n 07.11.2019, 12369 Howrah – Haridwar Kumbha Express will be controlled suitably enroute o­n 07.11 & 09.11.2019, 12327 Howrah – Dehradun Upasana Express will be controlled suitably enroute o­n 05.11.2019, 11106 Jhansi – Kolkata Pratham Swatantrata Sangram Express will be controlled enroute suitably o­n 09.11.2019 and 73538 Jasidih – Andal passenger will be controlled suitably o­n the days of block.

Inconvenience likely to be caused is deeply regretted.

COMMENDABLE PERFORMANCE OF ER/RPF

ER/RPF puts relentless effort for the security of passengers throughout the year. Despite round-the-clock devotion to duty, their activity of human aspect by which passengers immensely benefited are worthy to be mentioned. These includes rescuing of children, assisting to injured persons, handing over left behind luggage/articles to the passengers etc. Some of these activities including others which took place recently are depicted below:

RESCUE OF CHILDREN

·One minor boy aged 06 years, being separated from his mother, found loitering at Ballygunge station in Sealdah south section o­n 24.10.2019. Later, the boy was handed over to his mother by ER RPF under proper documentation through Child Line CINI, Kolkata.

·One minor mentally retarded boy, loitering at Joramow station in Asansol division was handed over his father by ER RPF after proper identification and documentation.

RESCUE AND ASSISTANCE RENDERED TO INJURED PERSONS

·One injured person, falling down from 31844 Krishnnagar-Sealdah local at Kankinara station o­n 23.10.2019, was attended by ER RPF. Necessary assistance was rendered and shifted him to Goalghar State General Hospital, Jagadal for treatment.

·One injured person, knocked down by a train between Khana & Talit stations o­n 23.10.2019 was attended by ER RPF and shifted him to Barddhaman Medical College & Hospital with the help of GRP/Barddhaman for proper treatment.

RECOVERY OF LEFT BEHIND LUGGAGE/ARTICLES

On-duty staff of RPF Post, Howrah North recovered o­ne left behind bag containing personal belongings from 37278 Bandel-Howrah local o­n its arrival at Howrah station. Later, the bag was handed over to its owner o­n proper documentation.

RECOVERY OF COUNTRY LIQUOR

Officers & staff of RPF Post, Madhupur arrested o­ne person carrying two bags containing 36 pouches of country liquor o­n 24.10.2019. The person along with recovered liquor was handed over to Excise department of Deoghar for further course of action.
