SER ACHIEVED A SALE OF Rs 100.10 CRORE

THROUGH DISPOSAL OF SCRAP

Kolkata, 15^th June, 2023:

Making South Eastern Railway a “Zero Scrap” Railway is o­ne of the mission areas of this zone. Necessary steps are being taken by all the Divisions and Workshops to realise value from sale of unserviceable materials.

South Eastern Railway has surpassed the Rs 100 crore Scrap sale figure o­n 15^th June, 2023 in the first quarter of the current financial year. This sale figure is 125.12% higher than proportionate target of Rs 80.00 for the first quarter and 108.20% higher than the Scrap Sale achieved during the corresponding period of the previous year.

This has been achieved through the sale of various kinds of scrap which includes scrap rails, condemned locos, wagons & coaches, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, miscellaneous scrap, abandoned quarters and cabins etc.

WESTERN RAILWAY TO EXTEND TRIPS OF SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN BANDRA TERMINUS AND JABALPUR

For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has decided to extend the trips of Train No. 02133/02134 Bandra Terminus – Jabalpur Superfast Special train o­n Special fare.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, details of the train are as under:

Train No. 02133/02134 Bandra Terminus – Jabalpur Superfast Special

Train No. 02133 Bandra Terminus – Jabalpur SF Special will leave Bandra Terminus every Saturday at 17.15 hrs and will reach Jabalpur at 15.10 hrs, the next day. This train which was earlier notified up to 1^stJuly, 2023 has now been extended up to 30^th September, 2023. Similarly, Train No. 02134 Jabalpur – Bandra Terminus SF Special will leave Jabalpur every Friday at 17.00 hrs and will reach Bandra Terminus at 14.10 hrs, the next day.This train which was earlier notified up to 30^th June, 2023 has now been extended up to 29^th September, 2023.

Enroute, this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ujjain, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Pipariya, and Narsinghpur stations in both directions.

The train comprises of AC First, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches. 

The booking of extended trips of Train No. 02133 will open from 16^th June, 2023 at PRS counters and IRCTC website. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in
