Kolkata, March 11, 2023 As a part of the Railway Ministry’s instructions for face lifting of 15 selected stations under Amrit Bharat Station phase-I, Divisional Railway Manager, Howrah, alongwith Divisional officers inspected Dankuni, Barddhaman and Chandannagar stations on 10.03.2023. The main objective of this inspection aims at improvement of second entry of the station building, traffic circulating area, interiors, waiting halls, toilets, furniture, central FOB with ramps, amenities for Divyangjans, sustainable and environment friendly solutions, provision of ballast less tracks, Roof Plazas, lifts & escalators as per requirement etc. to serve passengers with world-class facilities. Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, has recently announced the launching of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for bringing all facilities under o¬ne roof for convenience of the passengers & rail users. Presently, the scheme covers 1275 stations for upgradation/modernization over Indian Railways. Under this scheme, 94 stations in West Bengal, 86 in Bihar & 57 stations in Jharkhand are earmarked for development out of which 60 stations are in Eastern Railway network. The following 15 stations in Howrah Division have been selected for Amrit Bharat station scheme for development: 1) Barddhaman, 2) Rampurhat, 3) Bolpur, 4) Nabadwipdham, 5) Khagraghat Road, 6) Katwa, 7) Tarakeswar, 8) Seoraphuli, 9) Bally, 10) Azimganj Jn., 11) Dankuni, 12) Sainthia, 13) Chandannagar. 14) Pakur, & 15) Ambika Kalna. Amrit Bharat Station scheme envisages development of stations o¬n a continuous basis with a long-term approach. It involves preparation of Master Plans and their implementation in phases to improve the amenities at these stations. The scheme also emphasizes improvement of station buildings, integrating the station with both sides of the city, multi-modal integration, etc. 2

These Time Tabled Parcel Express Trains will run between Sankrail Goods Terminal-Bhiwandi and Sankrail Goods Terminal-Guwahati. In addition to that, another Parcel Express Train will also run between Sir M.Visveswaraya Terminal (Bengaluru)-Guwahati via Kharagpur as per the given schedule:- Sankrail Goods Terminal-Guwahati-Sankrail Goods Terminal Time Tabled Parcel Express 00807 Sankrail Goods Terminal-Guwahati Parcel Express will leave Sankrail Goods Terminal every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday w.e.f 21.02.2023 at 20.30 hrs and will reach Guwahati at 07.00 hrs on the third day. In the return direction, 00808 Guwahati-Sankrail Goods Terminal Parcel Express will leave Guwahati every Thursday, Friday and Monday w.e.f 23.02.2023 at 14.00 hrs and will reach Sankrail Goods Terminal at 19.30 hrs on the second day. This Parcel Express Train will stop at Malda Town, Rangapani, New Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Alipurduar and New Bongaigaon. Bhiwandi-Sankrail Goods Terminal-Bhiwandi Time Tabled Parcel Express 00121 Bhiwandi-Sankrail Goods Terminal Parcel Express will leave Bhiwandi every Monday w.e.f 20.02.2023 at 22.00 hrs and will reach Sankrail Goods Terminal at 18.00 hrs on every Wednesday. In the return direction, 00122 Sankrail Goods Terminal-Bhiwandi Parcel Express will leave Sankrail Goods Terminal every Thursday w.e.f 23.02.2023 at 19.30 hrs and will reach Bhiwandi at 12.40 hrs on every Saturday. This Parcel Express Train will stop at Mecheda, Panskura, Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Rourkela and Jharsuguda in SER jurisdiction. Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (Bengaluru)-Guwahati-Sir M Visvesvaraiya Terminal Time Tabled Parcel Express(One Trip) 00635 Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal-Guwahati Parcel Express leaving Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal at 07.40 hrs every Thursday w.e.f 16.02.2023 will reach Guwahati at 19.00 hrs on every Sunday. In the return direction, 00636 Guwahati-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Parcel Express will leave Guwahati every Monday w.e.f 20.02.2023 at 04.00 hrs and will reach Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal at 18.00 hrs on 23.02.2023. This Parcel Express Train will stop at Kharagpur and Sankrail Goods Terminal in SER jurisdiction. ..........
