    SWR’S SPORT PERSONS PERFORMENCE IN VARIOUS SPORTS

Shri Jaiveer, Tech - lll/ Basic Training Centre/ Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubballi, Golf player participated in the (Indian Golf Union) Golf tournament at Chandigarh from 20.03.2023 to 24.03.2023 and become champion in the tournament.

80^th All India Railway Hockey (Men) Championship organized by North Central Railway’s Sports Association at Gwalior from 20.03.2023 to 25.03.2023. (League Phase) South Western Railway, Hockey team entered in the knock out stage in the first time ever in the history of South Western Railway Sports Association.

South Western Railway Sports Association, Hockey team will be playing knock out stage at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala from 28.03.2023 to 31.03.2023.  

South Western Railway Sports Association, Men Cricket team participated in the 66^th All India Cricket Championship at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala from 18.03.2023 to 25.03.2023. SWR, Cricket team performed well, winning all 7 matches and entered in the Knock out stage after the gap of 10 long years.

Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, South Western Railway congratulated all the players who excelled in these various sports and qualified for the next level of entry.

1ಸಮರವೀರ್ ಸಾಹಿ ಗಾಲ್ಫ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್:ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವರ್ಕ್‌ ಶಾಪ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೈವೀರ್‌ ಅವರು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಚಂಡೀಗಡದ ಗಾಲ್ಫ್‌ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಮರವೀರ್ ಸಾಹಿ ಗಾಲ್ಫ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ ಆಗಿ ಹೊರ ಹೊಮ್ಮಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

2ಹಾಕಿ ತಂಡ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌: ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಗ್ವಾಲಿಯರ್‌ನ ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಉತ್ತರ-ಮಧ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದ 80ನೇ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಹಾಕಿ (ಪುರುಷರು) ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್ (ಲೀಗ್‌ ಹಂತ) ದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದ ಹಾಕಿ ತಂಡ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಆಗಿ, ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದೆ. ಮಾರ್ಚ್‌ 28ರಿಂದ ಕಪುರ್ತಲಾದ ರೈಲ್ ಕೋಚ್ ಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ನಾಕ್‌ ಔಟ್‌ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಲಿದೆ.

3ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ತಂಡ ಅಂತಿಮ ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ:ಕಪುರ್ತಲಾದ ರೈಲ್ ಕೋಚ್ ಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ನಡೆದ 66ನೇ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ಶಿಪ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದ ಪುರುಷರ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್‌ ತಂಡವು ಅರ್ಹತಾ  ಹಂತದ 10ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ಮೂಲಕ 7ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಯಶಾಲಿಯಾಗಿ  ನಾಕ್‌ ಔಟ್‌ ಹಂತ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. 

ಈ ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಹಂತದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಪಡೆದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂಜೀವ್‌ ಕಿಶೋರ್‌ ಅವರು ಅಭಿನಂದಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Ernakulam – Thiruvananthapuram Central Special Train will leave Ernakulam Jn at 01.45 hrs 07^th March, 2023 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 06.30 hrs the same day
