ER TO RUN SIX o­nE-WAY SPECIAL TRAINS

Kolkata, November 07, 2020:

      To clear the extra rush of passengers ER will run six (6) fully reserved o­ne-way special trains, o­ne (1) trip each from Kolkata to Sonpur , Kolkata to Bettiah, Howrah to Bettiah, Howrah to Khagaria, Asansol to Purnia and Bhagalpur to Darbhanga

    03105 Kolkata-Sonpur o­ne-way special train (via Naihati) will leave Kolkata station at 13:20 hrs. o­n 10.11.2020 to reach Sonpur at 02:30 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at Naihati, Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Gidhaur, Jamui, Kiul, Barhiya, Barauni, Vidyapatidham, Mohiuddinnagar, Shahpur Patoree, Mehnar Road, Desari, Akshyvat Nagar and Hajipur stations enroute.

    03157 Kolkata-Bettiah o­ne-way special train (via Naihati) will leave Kolkata at 20:55 hrs. o­n 12.11.2020 to reach Bettiah at 12:00 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at Naihati, Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha,Kiul, Luckeesarai, Barauni, Dalsingh Sarai,Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Chakia, Bapudham Motihari & Sagauli Jn stations enroute.

    03055 Howrah-Bettiah o­ne-way special train will leave Howrah at 21:05 hrs. o­n 13.11.2020 to reach Bettiah at 12:00 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Luckeesarai, Barauni, Dalsingh Sarai, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Chakia, Bapudham Motihari & Sagauli Jn stations enroute.

     03053 Howrah-Khagaria  one-way special train will leave Howrah at 22:00 hrs. o­n 13.11.2020 to reach Khagaria at 11:00 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Luckeesarai, Barauni  & Begusarai stations enroute.

     03501 Asansol - Purnia  one-way special train will leave Asansol at 23:40 hrs. o­n 12.11.2020 to reach Purnia at 9:30 hrs. o­n the next day. The train will stop at Durgapur, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Samsi, Harishchandrapur, Kumedpur & Katihar stations enroute.

      03403 Bhagalpu-Darbhanga  one-way special train ( Via- Munghyr) will leave Bhagalpur at 6:15 hrs. o­n 13.11.2020 to reach Darbhanga at 12:15hrs. o­n the same day. The train will stop at Sultanganj, Munghyr, Begusarai, Barauni Jn &  Samastipur Jn stations enroute.

These trains will have Air-Conditioned, Sleeper Class and Second Class accommodations.

     Booking for 03105 Kolkata-Sonpur special will be available from 08.11.2020 at 8:00 hrs , booking for 03157 Kolkata-Bettiah special & 03501 Asansol –Purnia special will be available from  09.11.2020 at 8:00 hrs  and booking for 03055 Howrah-Bettiah special, 03053 Howrah-Khagaria special & 03403  Bhagalpur-Darbhanga special will be available from 10.11.2020 at 8:00 hrs through PRS & Internet.

Features of these trains are as follows:

(i)Special charges for Special trains will be levied.

(ii) GS coaches will be booked as 2S class.                                    

(iii) Concessional booking is not allowed.

GM NCR & NR Sri Rajiv Chaudhry reviewed Safety, Infrastructure and punctuality position. CCTV camera to assist train passing staff installed at Bamrauli

General Manager NCR &NR Sri Rajiv Chaudhry reviewed safety, punctuality infrastructure and other important issues of Agra, Allahabad and Jhansi divisions through video conference. North central Railway is a major passing through Railway and approximately 1000 trains operates per day o­n NCR including Vande Bharat, Gatiman, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Mail Express and different types of Goods train. Owing to extremely high traffic density, need was being felt for long to augment effortsof train passing staff so as no train goes un-observed from any train passing station . Despite high alertness of our train passing staff sometime difficulty was being faced in observing train from both side under current system if other track was occupied by a stationary or moving train obstructing the view of train passing staff.To overcome this problem installation of CCTV camera was planned at entry point of station from both sides and display of such CCTV with station master to observe entering or leaving train o­n a particular station. To gauge efficacy of this system with a view to incorporate suitable changes before large scale implementation o­ne such system has been installed at Bamrauli station of Allahabad division. During video conference it was informed that required changes for proper visibility of train from both side are underway o­n which GM Sri Chaudhry instructed for completing it o­n priority. o­nce this prototype system proven for intended benefits, it will be replicated o­n other stations of NCR which will substantially augment efforts of our train passing staff and itwill go a long way in ensuring safety in train operations.

On punctuality front General Manager said that we are now running 7 to 8 goods trains in UP direction between Bhadan- Khurja and we need to work out improvement in punctuality performance pre and post commissioning of DFC route. He added that this exercise will also help in working out punctuality improvement benefits and additional train running capacity o­nce eastern DFC route is commissioned between Dadri- Pt DeenDayal Upadhyay Jn. which is targeted in the year 2021.

NCR has recently completed major yard remodeling and Electronic Interlocking work at Tundla Jn. GM Sri Rajiv Chaudhry advised that we need to work benefit of this work in terms punctuality improvement in Kanpur-Gaziabad section and ease in train handling capacity at Tundla Jn.

Elimination of manned level crossing is a mission area for Railways and this becomes even more important in sections where railway and DFC tracks are running parallel thus making operation of LC gate extremely difficult.To facilitate safe and detention free rail and road travel, 18 road under bridges are to be constructed jointly by North Central Railway and DFC in Allahabad – Kanpur section within next o­ne year time. Earning and expenditure performance of North Central Railway was also reviewed. GM expressed satisfaction o­n earning of Rs 181 Cr. Through scrap sale till Jan-20 and instructed to make all out efforts to reach goal of Rs. 225 Cr. through scrap sale,which will be best ever earning performance of NCR through scrap sale .
