SER LAYS THRUST o­n PASSENGER AMENITY WORKS

Kolkata, 18th June, 2021:

In the recent times, major thrust is given to improve stations for more passenger convenience by South Eastern Railway which includes raising of platforms, development of circulating areas, construction of Foot Over Bridges and over all station development.

During the year 2020-21, platform raising work has been completed at 18 stations in SER jurisdiction viz. Burnpur, Ranchi, Chakradharpur, Haldipada etc. In the current financial year 2021-22, it has been decided to complete platform raising work at 17 more stations viz. Kalaikunda, Sardiha, Kandra etc.

Improvement of circulating area has been done at 10 stations viz. Kharagpur, Midnapur, Tamluk, Durgachak etc. during 2020-21. SER has planned to improve the circulating area of 4 more stations viz. Tatanagar, Uluberia etc. during the current financial year 2021-22.

Moreover, platform shelter work has been completed at 9 stations viz. Kharagpur, Tamluk etc in 2020-21. Target has been taken to complete platform shelter at 6 more stations viz. Balichak, Kandra etc. during 2021-22.

With a view to ensure safety and ease the movement of the commuters, 14 new Foot Over Bridges have been constructed in SER jurisdiction during the 2020-21 financial year. These new Foot Over Bridges have been constructed at Bishnupur, Santragachi, Bhaga, Chakulia, Bisra etc. Another 29 stations will be provided with Foot Over Bridges during the current financial year 2021-22 at Jhargram, Bagnan, Kharagpur, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar etc.

In addition, some stations in SER jurisdiction are in the process of being redeveloped viz. Shalimar, Santragachi, Ranchi, Bokaro Steel City, Jharsuguda etc.

ADDITIONAL STOPPAGE OF SPECIAL TRAINS

Kolkata, 13^th February, 2021:

In view of demand of the travelling passengers, South Eastern Railway has decided to provide additional stoppage of some Special Trains as per the details given below :-

·02260/02259 Howrah-Mumbai CSMT-Howrah Special will stop at Jhargram w.e.f 16.02.2021

·02829/02830 Howrah-Tatanagar-Howrah Special will stop at Sardiha w.e.f 15.02.2021

·02227/02228 Howrah-Purulia-Howrah Special will stop at o­ndagram w.e.f 16. 02.2021

·08011/08012 Howrah-Chakradharpur-Howrah Special will stop at Garberta, Bishnupur & o­ndagram w.e.f 17.02.2021

·02801/02802 Puri-New Delhi-Puri Special will stop at Jhargram w.e.f 16.02.2021

·02875 Puri-Anand Vihar Special will stop at Jhargram w.e.f 16.02.2021

·02876 Anand Vihar-Puri Special will stop at Jhargram w.e.f 17.02.2021

·02819 Bhubaneswar-Anand Vihar Special will stop at Purulia w.e.f15.02.2021

·02820 Anand Vihar-Bhubaneswar Special will stop at Purulia w.e.f17.02.2021

The above additional stoppages have been provided o­n an experimental basis for a period of six months as per the following timings:-

·02260 Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Special will arrive Jhargram at 16.21 hrs and will leave at 16.23 hrs. In the return direction, 02259 Mumbai CSMT-Howrah Special will reach Jhargram at 09.41 hrs and will depart at 09.43 hrs.

·02829 Howrah-Tatanagar Special will arrive Sardiha at 19.23 hrs and will leave at 19.25 hrs. In the return direction, 02830 Tatanagar-Howrah Special will reach Sardiha at 07.45 hrs and will depart at 07.47 hrs.

·02227 Howrah-Purulia Special will arrive o­ndagram at 20.14 hrs and will leave at 20.15 hrs. In the return direction, 02228 Purulia-Howrah Special will reach o­ndagram at 07.18 hrs and will depart at 07.19 hrs.

·08011 Howrah-Chakradharpur Special will arrive Garbeta at 03.32 hrs, Bishnupur at 03.55 hrs and o­ndargam at 04.05 hrs and will leave at 03.34 hrs, at 03.57 hrs and at 04.06 hrs respectively. In the return direction, 08012 Chakradharpur-Howrah Special will reach Garbeta at 00.43 hrs, Bishnupur at 00.23 hrs and o­ndagram at 00.11 hrs and will depart at 00.45 hrs, 00.25 hrs and 00.12 hrs respectively.

·02801 Puri-New Delhi Special will arrive Jhargram at 04.36 hrs and will leave at 04.38 hrs. In the return direction, 02802 New Delhi-Puri Special will reach Jhargram at 21.39 hrs and will depart at 21.41 hrs.

·02875 Puri-Anand Vihar Special will arrive Jhargram at 18.03 hrs and will leave at 18.05 hrs. In the return direction, 02876 Anand Vihar-Puri Special will reach Jhargram at 10.30 hrs and will depart at 10.32 hrs.

·02819 Bhubaneswar-Anand Vihar Special will arrive Purulia at 01.18 hrs and will leave at 01.20 hrs. In the return direction, 02820 Anand Vihar-Bhubaneswar Special will reach Purulia at 02.28 hrs and will depart at 02.30 hrs.
