Central Railway Press Release Mega Block on 19.06.2022 Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections for 5th and 6th Line carrying out various engineering and maintenance works on 19.06.2022 Thane-Kalyan 5th and 6th Lines from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm Diversion of Up Mail/Express Trains 11010 Pune- Mumbai Sinhagad Express, 17611 Hazur Sahib Nanded-Mumbai Rajya Rani Express, 12124 Pune- Mumbai Deccan Queen, 13201 Patna-LTT Express, 17221 Kakinada-LTT Express, 22160 Chennai-Mumbai Express, 12168 Banaras- LTT Express, 12321 Howrah- Mumbai Mail via Prayagraj, 12812 Hatia- LTT Express and 11014 Coimbatore- LTT Express will be diverted on Up fast line between Kalyan and Thane Stations and arrive destination 10-15 minutes behind schedule. Diversion of Dn Mail/Express Trains 11055 LTT- Gorakhpur Express and 11061 LTT-Jaynagar Express will be diverted on Dn fast line between Kalyan and Thane Stations and will arrive Kalyan 10-15 minutes behind schedule.16345 LTT- Thiruvananthapuram Netravati Express will be diverted on Dn fast line between Thane and Diva and will run 10-15 minutes behind schedule. Kurla - Vashi Up and Dn harbour lines from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm Dn Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.34 am to 3.36 pm and Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Vashi/Belapur/Panvel from 10.16 am to 3.47 pm and will remain suspended. Special local trains will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Kurla and Panvel-Vashi sections during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Thane-Vashi/Nerul from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm on Trans harbour line. These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. - Reviewed the Performance of Safety, Freight Loading, Punctuality and Progress of Infrastructure Projects in Vijayawada Division Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager (In-Charge), South Central Railway conducted a review meeting of Vijayawada Division's Performance today i.e., 16th June, 2022 atDivisional Conference Hall, Vijayawada along with Shri Shivendra Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials. Shri Arun Kumar Jain had a detailed review on freight loading performance of Vijayawada Division and congratulated the Branch Officers for exceptional performance in the freight segment compared to the previous financial year during same period and also emphasized to continue to keep up the good work. The General Manager also reviewed the status of Infrastructure works in progress and commended the Engineering Department officials for undertaking RUB works and eliminating LC gates at critical locations on war footing. He instructed the officials to expedite key infrastructure projects in the Division, especially Machilipatnam Yard remodelling, Doubling Works between Aravalli and Nidadavollu, Gudur-Vijayawada Third Line Works and Commissioning of Platforms 4 & 5 at Rajahmundry Railway Station. He advised the Officials to give special emphasis towards punctuality and take proactive action plan to improve mobility and speed in the sections. He also instructed the field officials to deploy adequate staff to deal with asset failure causing punctuality loss and reduce the duration of the failure. The General Manager evaluated the safety action plans of the Division while reiterating strict adherence to the guidelines and safety measures. He also advised the staff to frequently conduct field inspections to ensure regular monitoring of track parameters so that timely action can be taken if required. The General Manager advised the officials that there is lot of scope for further improvement in freight loading like Cement, Coal, Fertilizers, Food grains etc. particularly at Krishnapatnam and Kakinada Port. He advised the officials to increase the wagon turnaround by reducing the terminal detentions and addressing other bottleneck issues in the section. Shri R. Dhananjayulu, Principal Chief Operations Manager, SCR and Shri G.V. Ramana Reddy, Chief Engineer, Road Safety Works, SCR were also present during the Review Meeting
