Diversion of Trains


Due to temporary suspension of Traffic o­n Bridge No.299 between Mukundarayapuram and Tiruvalam stations in Arakkonam – Katpadi section of Chennai Division, the following changes are made in the pattern of Express train services o­n 25th and 26th December 2021.

1.Train No. 13351 Dhanbad – Alappuzha Express that left Dhanbad at 11.40 hrs o­n 23rd & 24th December, 2021 will be diverted to run via Gudur, Renigunta, Pakala and Katpadi duly skipping the stoppages at Nayudupeta, Sullurpeta, Dr MGR Chennai Central, Tiruvallur, Arakkonam

2.Train No. 13352 Alappuzha – Dhanbad Express leaving Alappuzha at 06.00 hrs o­n 25th & 26th December, 2021 will be diverted to run via Katpadi, Pakala, Renigunta and Gudur duly skipping the stoppages at Arakkonam, TiruvallurDr MGR Chennai Central, Sullurpeta, Nayadupeta

3.Train No. 22646 Kochuveli – Indore Superfast Express leaving Kochuveli at 06.35 hrs o­n 25th December, 2021 will be diverted to run via Katpadi, Pakala, Renigunta and Gudur duly skipping the stoppage at Dr MGR Chennai Central

8.Train No. 22605 Purulia – Villupuram Bi-Weekly Superfast Express that left Purulia at 10.00 hrs o­n 24th December, 2021 will be diverted to run via Renigunta, Pakala and Katpadi duly skipping the stoppages at Puttur and Tiruttani

9.Train No. 22606 Villupuram – Purulia Bi-Weekly Superfast Express leaving Villupuram at 12.15 hrs o­n 25th December, 2021 will be diverted to run via KatpadiPakala and Reningunta duly skipping the stoppages at Tiruttani and Puttur

10.Train No. 12688 Chandigarh – Madurai Express that left Chandigarh at 08.05 hrs o­n 24th December, 2021 will be diverted to run via Arakkonam, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tiruchchirappalli and Dindigul duly skipping the stoppages at Katpadi, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Karur

BHUBANESWAR RAILWAY STATION CERTIFIED AS “EAT RIGHT STATION” BY FSSAI

•             Certification by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for providing high quality and nutritious food to the passengers.

•             6th station over Indian Railways to get the certificate.

•             4-Star Rating signifies exemplary efforts in ensuring safe and hygienic food to passengers.

The ‘Eat Right Station Certification’ was the part of the ‘Eat Right India’ movement. It is a large-scale effort made by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to transform food system in India with an aim to ensure safe, healthy and sustainable food for all Indians. The Eat Right India adopts regulatory, capacity building, collaborative and empowerment approaches in ensuring that the food available is suitable for people as well as for planet.

                The Bhubaneswar Railway station of Khurda road division has certified as “Eat Right Station” for providing high-quality, nutritious food to passengers. The Certificate was awarded after conclusion of FSSAI empanelled Third Party Audit Agency with ratings from 1 to 5. Bhubaneswar station achieved 4 star rating. The 4-star rating indicates Exemplary efforts made by the Railway authorities at Bhubaneswar station in ensuring that safe and hygienic food is available to Railway passengers. All the catering stalls at Bhubaneswar Railway station are provided with Food license certificate and the vendors are having medical fitness certificate.

                Today, in a function at Bhubaneswar Railway station, the certificate was handed over to Shri Rinkesh Roy, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road Division, by Miss Yamini Sarangi, Commissioner of Food safety, Govt. of Odisha.  Speaking o­n the occasion, Sri Rinkesh Roy said that it is a honor for the Khurda Road division and it also makes us more responsible to maintain this standard of hygienic and food quality for our valued passengers in future at Bhubaneswar station.  He also said that in the next step, efforts were made for Puri, Cuttack other important stations of the division to include in “EAT RIGHT STATION” category. Dr. P.K. Mohapatra, Director Food safety, Shri BGS Rao, Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS), Khurda road, Sri Amitesh Anand, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Khurda Road are present o­n the occasion.

 Bhubaneswar Railway station is the 6th Railway station over Indian Railways to get the certificate after Chandigarh, Anand Vihar Terminal, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai Central and Vadodara Railway Stations.
