दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY प्रेसविज्ञप्ति PRESS RELEASE MORE THAN 54 THOUSAND TONNES OF FOOD GRAINS AND SALT HAVE REACHED BY 26 RAKES AT ADRA DIVISION OF SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 2020 Kolkata, 16th January, 2021:
South Eastern Railway has continued its endeavour to ensure transportation of food grains and other essential commodities through its freight services during nationwide crisis in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Railways, SER has geared up its entire network for uninterrupted movement of goods trains. During the period from 1st December to 31st December, 2020, altogether 54,499 tonnes of food grains and salt have been unloaded from 26 rakes which arrived at different stations and sidings of Adra Division of South Eastern Railway. Altogether 37,258 tonnes of wheat was unloaded from 15 rakes and 14,574 tonnes of rice was unloaded from 10 rakes. Moreover, 2,667 tonnes of salt was unloaded from 1 rake. The rakes were unloaded at different locations of Adra Division of South Eastern Railway viz. Purulia, Bankura, Bokaro Steel City, Adra, Chandil etc. during the period from 1st December to 31st December, 2020. The concerned staff of South Eastern Railway have been working at various stations and goods sheds for unloading and loading of food grains and essential commodities maintaining health protocols. PRESS RELEASE ER TO RUN SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN KOLKATA STATION & ALIPURDUAR JN. Kolkata, January 13,2021 To clear the rush of the passengers, Eastern Railway will run a fully reserved special train between Kolkata Station & Alipurduar Jn. 03129 Kolkata- Alipurduar Special (via Dankuni) will leave Kolkata Station at 20:35 hrs on 22.01.2021 to reach Alipurduar Jn. at 12:30 hrs on the next day and 03130 Alipurduar -Kolkata special will leave Alipurduar Jn. at 15:15 hrs on 23.01.2021 to reach Kolkata Station at 08:20 hrs on the next day. This train will stop at Barddhaman, Rampurhat , Malda Town, Harischandrapur, Barsoi Jn., Dalkolha , Kishanganj, Aluabari Road, Thakurganj, Baghdogra, Siliguri Jn., New Mal Jn., Dalgaon, Hasimara, and Hamitonganj Stations enroute in both direction. The date of booking of tickets for the above special train will be notified shortly. Passengers are requested to follow COVID-19 protocols.
