W.RLY TO EXTEND THE RUN OF SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN BANDRA TERMINUS AND BHAGAT KI KOTHI via MAHESANA -PATAN- BHILDI

 

To facilitate passengers and to clear extra rush, Western Railway has decided to further extend the trips of Bandra Terminus – Bhagat Ki Kothi Bi-weekly Special train o­n Special Fare via Mahesana-Patan-Bhildi. The details of 16 additional trips are as under :

 

·04818/04817 Bandra (T) – Bhagat Ki Kothi Bi-weekly Special Train o­n Special Fare

 

Train No. 04818 Bandra Terminus – Bhagat Ki Kothi (Bi-weekly) Special train leaves Bandra Terminus every Monday & Thursday at 13.05 hrs to reach Bhagat Ki Kothi at 08.20 hrs the next day. This train will run from 5thAugust to 29th August, 2019.

Similarly, Train No. 04817 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Bandra Terminus (Bi-weekly) Special Train leaves Bhagat Ki Kothi every Sunday & Wednesday at 15.00 hrs and arrive Bandra Terminus at 11.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 4th August to 28th August, 2019.

 

The train has AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches. The train halts at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mahesana, Patan, Bhildi, Dhanera, Raniwara, Marwar Bhinmal, Modran, Jalor, Mokalsar, Samdariand Luni stations in both directions.

 

Booking for extended trips of Train No 04818 will open from 2nd August, 2019 at all PRS centers and IRCTC website.

OBSERVATION OF 5th INTERNATIONAL 

YOGA DAY AT SWR

The “International Day of Yoga” for the year 2019 was celebrated all over South Western Railway in a befitting manner o­n 21st June, 2019. South Western Railway Headquarters organized a Special Morning Yoga Session, which was led by Shri Ajay Kumar Singh General Manager, South Western Railway.

The Yoga classes conducted by Yoga Master Shri Balchand Sharma, Principal Yoga Teacher from Patanjali Yoga Peet, Haridwar. He has taken more than1500 Yoga Classes all over Karnataka during the last 12 Years, under the blessing of Swamy Ramdev Institution. The talk o­n Astanga Yoga, various nuances of beneficial combination of Asanas, disciplined life and meditation drew attention of all.  The session was attended by about 300 officials and families. While addressing the session that lasted from 7:00 am to 9.30 am, the Yoga experts have mentioned various benefits of Yoga for physical and mental wellbeing and said that yoga will lead to increase of efficiency in work. The participants have expressed that insight to Yoga has encouraged them to pursue it daily. Later various asanas in sitting, standing and supine positions such as tadasana, vajrasana, padahastasana, bhujangasana etc. were demonstrated by experts and performed by participants.

More than 250 Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers from Bharat Scouts and Guides across Southern Zone (Andaman & Nicobar, AP, Karnataka, Kerala and Puducherry) also participated in the event, who have come here for “Regional Level Yoga Fest 2019” hosted by South Western Railway.

Shri B.B. Singh, Additional General Manager, Shri Shivaraj Singh, State Chief Commissioner of Bharath Scouts and Guides (BS & G) and Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Shri Rajesh Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager; all Principal Heads of the Departments, Officers and Staff participated with full enthusiasm throughout the session. The celebrations were coordinated by Shri Rajeev Kumar, Principal Chief Personnel Officer of South Western Railway.

Later in the evening Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager, South Western Railway along with Smt. Sujata Singh, President of South Western Railway, Women’s Welfare Organisation SWRWWO inaugurated today "Maharishi Patanjali Udyan" near Railway Officers Club which was attended by all officers, SWRWWO members and staff.
