CR Anti Tout Squad, Mumbai Division strikes again – 67 e-tickets worth 1.13 lakh rupees seized

In continuation of its operation against touts, the Anti Tout Squad, Mumbai Division, Central Railway with the help of RPF hasstruck again.

 

After its successful anti-tout operation in December-2020, the ATS team of Central Railway has begun the new year with yet another successful raid o­n 14thJanuary 2021.

 

The ATS team along with the RPF organised a raid at the Sewri-Reay Road section and nabbed 5 touts with 67 e-tickets worth Rs. 1,13,216/-

Rajmal Jain with 31 tickets worth Rs.46,506/-, Babul Mian with 10 tickets worth Rs.20,173/-, Sharif Pathan & Rizwan with 25 tickets worth Rs.44,917/- and Sanjay Gupta with 1 tatkal ticket worth Rs.1620/- were apprehended during the raid and handed over to Railway Protection Force, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus for further prosecution.

 

Central Railway appeals to the passengers travel with proper and valid railway tickets and to purchase their tickets from authorized agents or from Computerised Reservation Centres or book them o­nline o­n website www.irctc.co.in. in order to avoid inconvenience and travel with dignity.

Central RailwayPress Release Maintenance works carried out in Sunday mega block Central Railway Mumbai Division carried out maintenance work during mega block o­n Mulund-Matunga Up and Dn fast lines & Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Chunabhatti/Bandra Up and Dn harbour lines o­n 6.12.2020. EngineeringUnimat tamping of 1.3 km track, renewal of 13 meter rail, replacement of 30 notching/broken sleepers, stacking of 72 released MBC sleepers, replacement of MBC sleepers and switches, cleaning and covering of drains, shallow screening and welding at various places along with loading of 60 scrap rails were done. OHE worksReplacement of 425 meter contact wire, annual overhauling and close inspection of 500 meter length of OHE, removal of weak points, contact wire, mast cutting, erection of o­ne mast, section insulators, switches / isolators, profiling of OHE, re-tension of contact wires were done along with replacement of contact wires, flash insulators, worn out droppers, SW-connectors and rusty adjusters Besides, welding work, disconnection/reconnection of 28 bonds and provision of 42 bonds, 6 droppers and provision of 4 working limit board were also carried out. Tree trimming work was also carried out at 10 places. These works were carried out with o­ne crane, four Tower Wagons and two trestle/ ladder gangs. S&T WorksReplacement of stock rails, jacketed track lead wires for 200 meter length, friction clutches, detector trolley, 16 bond plates, channel pins and relay racks were done. Work of disconnection and reconnection of AWS magnets, Digital Axle Counter sensors, Track lead connections and bonds, drilling of 110 cycle holes, testing, adjustment and recording of Digital Axle Counters and Track parameters were also done along with cable meggering of signals and track circuits.
