REGULATION OF TRAINS IN ASANSOL DIVISION


Kolkata, April 13, 2023:

Due to track maintenance work o­n Down Main Line in Simultala-Ghorparan section, 210 minutes (from 13.10 hrs. to 16.40 hrs.) Power & Traffic Block has been planned o­n 16.04.2023 (Sunday)  & 19.04.2023 (Wednesday). Consequently, the following arrangements in train running have been made as under :-

Short-termination/short-origination (on 16.04.2023 &19.04.2023):

03675/03676 Asansol-Jhajha-Asansol MEMU Specials will be short-terminated at/short-originated from Jasidih. 
13207/13208 Patna-Jasidih-Patna Express will be short-terminated at/short-originated from Jhajha.

Rescheduling (on 16 & 19.04.2023) : 

13030 Mokama-Howrah Express will be rescheduled by 1 hour 10 minutes.

Moreover,  03574 Kiul-Jasidih MEMU Special will be suitably controlled for 30 minutes enroute o­n the days of block.

Inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.

SHRI PIYUSH GOYAL VISITS THE LONGEST RAILWAY PLATFORM IN THE WORLD

        HUBBALLI March 19,2023

Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, visited the longest railway platform in the world at Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station.

Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager South Western Railway extended a warm welcome to Hon'ble Minister. Shri Kishore briefed him about the major improvements undertaken in the recent times at Hubballi Jn, and scope for future improvement.

He mentioned that recently the Guinness Book of World Records has recognised the platform at Hubballi Jn- measuring 1507 m - as the longest railway platform in the world. Shri Kishore pointed out that the remodelled yard, and longest platform would cater to growing transport needs of Hubballi city.

Shri Goyal appreciated the feat of South Western Railway, in constructing the longest railway platform in the world.  He also praised the upkeep and beautification of the station with murals depicting local art, culture and heritage.

He was accompanied by Hon'ble Mayor Shri Iresh Anchatageri.

Addtl DRM Hubballi Division Shri SK Verma, Sr DPO Shri Asif Hafeez, Sr DCM Smt Harietha, CPRO Shri Aneesh Hegde, PRO Shri Pranesh were present during the occasion.
