REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR BRIDGE MAINTENANCE WORK IN EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY Kolkata, May 10, 2022: For maintenance of bridge no 1 in between Samastipur & Muktapur stations, 06.00 hours (09:45 hrs. to 14.45 hrs.) Traffic & Power block has been planned on 14.05.2022 (Saturday) & 17.05.2022 (Tuesday). Consequently, 13043 Howrah - Raxaul Express (Journey Commencing on 13.05.2022) & 17005 Hyderabad Decan - Raxaul Express (Journey Commencing on 12.05.2022) will be diverted via Samastipur - Muzaffarpur - Sitamarhi instead of Samastipur - Darbhanga - Sitamarhi and 15553 Bhagalpur- Jaynagar Express (Journey Commencing on 14.05.2022) will be rescheduled by 120 minutes from Bhagalpur. Inconvenience caused to the passengers is deeply regretted. 2

Central Railway Press Release CR completes doubling of Washimbe – Bhalwani Section oÂÂn Solapur Division Commissioner of Railway Safety, Central Circle, Mumbai inspected the newly constructed double line between Washimbe and Bhalwani stations of Solapur Division oÂÂn 26.10.2021 and 27.10.2021. The doubling work of Washimbe – Bhalwani section of 26.33 kms is a part of Daund – Gulbarga doubling project. This doubling work included construction of 65 bridges (one important and 2 major bridges), 3 new station buildings i.e., Jeur, Pophlaj and Washimbe and new Electronic Interlocking at 4 stations. CRS inspected all safety and safety related matters, electrification and signalling works carried out. With commissioning of this section, a major bottleneck at Pophlaj station where trains used to be reversed for crossing oÂÂn this single line stretch oÂÂn golden quadrilateral is eliminated. This will further speed up the trains and reduce the travel time considerably and more trains can be run. After trail run, 01020 was the first train in UP direction and 01019 in down direction. Neighboring areas around such as Daund Taluka, Karmala Taluka etc. likely to be developed due to this doubling project. Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti, General manager , Central Railway said that the doubling of this section has helped to solve a major bottleneck in operation. During the inspection Shri Shailesh Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Solapur Division, branch officers and also officers from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited accompanied the Commissioner Railway safety.
