WESTERN RAILWAY TO EXTEND TRIPS OF SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN BANDRA TERMINUS AND JABALPUR

For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has decided to extend the trips of Train No. 02133/02134 Bandra Terminus – Jabalpur Superfast Special train o­n Special fare.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, details of the train are as under:

Train No. 02133/02134 Bandra Terminus – Jabalpur Superfast Special

Train No. 02133 Bandra Terminus – Jabalpur SF Special will leave Bandra Terminus every Saturday at 17.15 hrs and will reach Jabalpur at 15.10 hrs, the next day. This train which was earlier notified up to 1stJuly, 2023 has now been extended up to 30th September, 2023. Similarly, Train No. 02134 Jabalpur – Bandra Terminus SF Special will leave Jabalpur every Friday at 17.00 hrs and will reach Bandra Terminus at 14.10 hrs, the next day.This train which was earlier notified up to 30th June, 2023 has now been extended up to 29th September, 2023.

Enroute, this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ujjain, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Pipariya, and Narsinghpur stations in both directions.

The train comprises of AC First, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches. 

The booking of extended trips of Train No. 02133 will open from 16th June, 2023 at PRS counters and IRCTC website. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in

PR No. 154 - Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR Holds Detailed Review on Safety of Train Operations

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway held a detailed review meeting o­n Safety of train operations o­n the Zone today i.e., 12th June, 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through video conference.

During the review meeting, Shri Arun Kumar Jain laid primary focus o­n ensuring compliance of worksite safety requirements without fail. He reviewed the month long safety drive being undertaken by the zone involving various departments such as Electrical, Mechanical, Signal & Telecommunications, Operating and Engineering. He advised the officials and staff to strictly adhere to safe working condition of equipments, proper maintenance of registers pertaining to train operations and undertake all necessary pre-monsoon precautionary measures.

 The General Manager emphasized that proper communication is essential for safe running of trains and instructed the divisions to ensure perfect working of all communication equipment so as to avoid any kind of unsafe situation. He stated that the supervisors should constantly monitor the field level activity and any issue should be attended instantly and rectified at the earliest. The General Manager also reviewed the working hours of running staff including loco pilots and advised the officials to take necessary action to provide relief and reduce the long hours wherever required.

 Shri Arun Kumar Jain reiterated that field level staff should be counseled and sensitized frequently o­n all aspects relating to safety.He reviewed the status of refreshers courses, regular training and counseling sessions being imparted to safety category staff including loco pilots and assistant loco pilots. He stressed o­n the importance of providing focused field level, o­n-the job training for deeper understanding.

 The General Manager also took stock o­n the status of provision of ‘One Station o­ne Product’ stalls. He advised the officials to continue the same efforts so as to increase the number of stalls and provide a larger market for local products across the zone.
