ER’S B R SINGH HOSPITAL VACCINATED 75000 BENEFICIARIES TILL DATE

 

Kolkata, September 13, 2021

             Eastern Railway’s B R Singh Hospital has exhibited commendable performance in terms of contribution to this pan-Indian drive and have successfully created the record of highest single unit vaccination with a huge number of 75000 vaccination completed till date to embolden the national fight against COVID pandemic.

             Apart from serving the Railway beneficiaries, ER’s BR Singh Hospital has also extended their services to aid the state government in vaccinating a huge number of non-Railway, Railway contractual workers and state government employees as a remarkable number of 5104 beneficiaries that comprise Kolkata Police, Kolkata Traffic police, Polling Personnel, WBTC, Judiciary, Commercial Tax workers, Banking Personal, those from State Electricity Board (CESC) and all the Railway contractual workers including the porters, parcel department workers, sanitation workers etc. have received their 1st dose of vaccination from this institution. A Total number of 3489 non-Railway beneficiaries, who are largely front line warrior, have also completed their second dose vaccination as well.

             A major milestone was launch of a train named AAROGYA for providing vaccination in the outreach areas of Sealdah division by organizing camps in the peripheral areas like Krishnanagar, Barasat, Naihati, Murshidabad etc in order to extend the outreach.

             The successful completion of 75000 single unit vaccination and a single day record of 1069 beneficiaries vaccinated o­n 23.7.2021 are proud moments that highlight the ever-growing enthusiasm to do better each day and completely vaccinated Railway & non-Railway families at the earliest in coming days.

RPF/ER PROVIDED SECURITY TO THE PASSENGERS TIRELESSLY o­n 24X7 BASIS

 

Kolkata, August 26, 2021:

 

1)On 24.8.2021, acting o­n the strength of a search warrant, officers & staff of RPF Post/Krishnanagar arrested a tout from a shop and recovered seven Railway old e-tickets valued ₹ 10,853/- from his possession.

 2)On 23.8.2021, acting o­n information, officers & staff of RPF Post/Berhampore has rescued a injured female person decamped from a running train at Berhampore Railway station. Necessary assistance was rendered and she was shifted to Murshidabad Medical College & Hospital for treatment.

 3)On 24.8.2021, acting o­n a tip-off, officers & staff of RPF Post/Howrah Division & Narcotics Control Bureau, Kolkata have arrested four persons deboarded from 02704 DN Bangalore – Howrah Express Special at Howrah Railway station and recovered four lugages containing 56 KG ganja (approximately) valued ₹5.60 lakhs. Th arrested persons & recovered articles were handed over to Narcotics Control Bureau officials, Kolkata for next course of action.

 4)On 23.8.2021, officers & staff of RPF Post/Howrah South have recovered an unclaimed bag containing two mobile phones and other valuables worth of ₹10,000/- from an empty coach of 08646 DN Hyderabad – Howrah Express Special at Howrah Railway station. The recovered bag was handed over to its owner after due verification & documentation.

 5)On 24.8.2021, o­n receipt of information from a passenger, officers & staff of RPF Post/Jamtara recovered a left behind bag containing mobile phone and clothes worth of ₹21,000/- from 63567 Asansol – Jhajha MEMU at Vidyasagar Railway station. The recovered bag was handed over to its owner after due verification & documentation.
