- New Crossing station, Pocharam inspected - Annual Inspection conducted between Bhadrachalam Road –- Kazipet – Secunderabad section Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook Annual Inspection of Bhadrachalam Road – Dornakal - Kazipet – Secunderabad sections of Secunderabad Division today i.e., 10th February, 2021. He was accompanied by Shri A.K.Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and Principal Head of the Departments throughout the inspection. The General Manager commenced the inspection at Bhadrachalam Railway Station and inaugurated the renovated Crew Lobby, 20 KWp on Grid Solar Power Plant and Model Track Maintainers Room at Bhadrachalam Railway Station. Shri Gajanan Mallya planted saplings towards green environment in the premises of Model Track Maintainers Rest Room at Bhadrachalam during the inspection. The General Manager inaugurated & inspected the renovated Health Unit, Bhadrachalam. He carried out a speed test between Bhadrachalam and Dornakal sections. The General Manager inspected Pocharam Railway Station, a new crossing station. A new crossing station provided between Bhadrachalam Road and Dornakal Junction will facilitate the train operations and ease the congestion in train movements. The provision will also help in speeding up the freight and passenger trains. The General Manager inspected newly constructed Road under Bridge between Bhadrachalam - Dornakal section. Later, during the inspection, GM, SCR inaugurated new running room and 1000 LPD solar hot water for running room at Dornakal station. He inspected safety aspects at Major Girder Bridge between Garla - Gundratimadugu stations in Dornakal – Kazipet section. During the inspection the General Manager also interacted with Track Maintainers of Gang Unit No.8 and enquired about the safety practices being followed. The General Manager comprehensively inspected the Warangal Railway station and its premises and discussed and reviewed the development works. Later, the General Manager inspected Ghanpur Railway Station where he also visited the Railway colony and interacted with the family members of the employees about the facilities provided. He also interacted with track maintainers of Gang unit no. 7 and later had a meeting with representatives of various trade unions. During the inspection, the General Manager also inspected overall track maintenance between these sections and also conducted speed test between Jangaon – Pagidipalli. 2

Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway conducted a review meeting on safety, freight loading and punctuality of the Zone today i.e., 22nd December, 2020 from Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Additional General Manager and Principal Heads of Departments; Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through web conference. Shri Gajanan Mallya conducted a detailed review on safety of train operations in the Zone. He advised the officials to strictly adhere to guidelines and observe all safety measures at station yards and sidings. He instructed the officials to conduct special safety drives involving concerned supervisors to spread awareness on incidents that can be avoided and also to ensure safety of work men. He also informed the officials to conduct special awareness drives to avoid unsafe conditions through refresher courses and crew counseling sessions etc. He advised the Divisional Railway Managers to maintain punctuality and operate the trains to reach the destinations on time. He also advised the officials to remove the caution orders wherever possible to speed up the movement of trains. The General Manager held a detailed review on freight loading performance of the Zone. He advised the officials to maintain the speed of freight trains at an average of 50 Kmph. The General Manager also instructed the officials to conduct meetings with freight customers so as to surpass the previous year freight loading achievement of the Zone as well as to attain the target set by Railway Board. The General Manager conducted a review on important on-going Railway projects to provide connectivity to Yadadri, Bhadradri, Bhupalapally and Pocharam power projects expected to enhance the coal loading of the Zone. He advised the officials to look into the projects and speed up the process. The General Manager also held a review with all the Divisional Railway Managers on Business Development Units (BDU’s) and freight loading. He appreciated the BDU’s for their efforts which has immensely helped in improvement of freight loading over the Zone. The General Manger reiterated about spreading awareness among staff to strictly follow all Covid-19 protocols and guidelines.
