REGULATION OF SER TRAIN SERVICES
DUE TO CYCLONE “HUDHUD”
Kolkata, October 12, 2014 :
In view of Cyclone “HUDHUD” which had a landfallin the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh & Odisha this morning (12.10.14), South Eastern Railway, considering the safety of the passengers and the damages to railway track and OHE(Overhead Electrical Equipment), has decided that no passenger carrying train would ply in the affected areas till restoration of the damages happened to railway property.Consequently, South Eastern Railway has to regulate more trains by diversion/short termination/short origination/rescheduling/cancellation.

Trains leaving Howrah Area(Howrah/Santragachi/Shalimar) on 12.10.14
·22855 Santragachi-Tirupati Express leaving Santragachi at 16.05 hrs. on 12.10.14 will run via Kharagpur-Jharsuguda-Raipur-Nagpur-Balharshah.
·12663 Howrah-Tiruchchirapalli Express leaving Howrah at 16.10 hrs. on 12.10.14will run via Kharagpur-Jharsuguda-Raipur-Nagpur-Balharshah.
·12863 Howrah-Yeswantpur Express leaving Howrah at 20.35 hrs. on 12.10.14 will run via Kharagpur-Jharsuguda-Raipur-Nagpur-Balharshah.
·22642 Shalimar-Thiruvananthapuram Express leaving Shalimar at 23.00 hrs. on 12.10.14 will run via Kharagpur-Jharsuguda-Raipur-Nagpur-Balharshah.

SHORT TERMINATION/SHORT ORIGINATION OF TRAINS:
·18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Express leaving Howrah on 12.10.14 will be short terminated at Titlagarh and will run back as 18006 from Titlagarh to Howrah on 13.10.14.
·18107 Rourkela-Koraput Express leaving Rourkela on 12.10.14 will be short terminated at Rayagada and will run back as 18108 from Rayagada to Rourkela on 13.10.14
RESCHEDULING OF TRAINS:
·02863 Howrah-Yesvantpur AC Premium Special scheduled to leave Howrah at 11.00 hrs. of 13.10.14 has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 21.15 hrs. on 13.10.14.
·22605 Purulia-Villupuram Express scheduled to leave Purulia at 10.35 hrs. on 13.10.14 has been rescheduled to leave Purulia at 23.15 hrs. on 13.10.14.
CANCELLATION OF TRAIN :
·18515 Tatanagar-Visakhapatnam Express leaving Tatanagar at 13.00 hrs. on 13.10.14 will remain cancelled.

SER TO RUN 348 PUJA SPECIALS, TO AUGMENT 30 MAIL/ EXPRESS TRAINS & TO RUN 7 SUBURBAN EMU SPECIALS DURING FESTIVE SEASON—ALMOST 1.45 LAKH ADDITIONAL RESERVED BERTHS GENERATED
Kolkata, 25th Sept. 2014:
With a view to clear extra rush of passengers during the ensuing festive season, South Eastern Railway has made elaborate arrangements to run 348 long distance special trains including premium special trains from Howrah, Santragachi, Kharagpur, Ranchi and Hatia to different destinations viz. Yesvantpur (Bangalore), Chennai, Mumbai, Ernakulam (Kerala), Mysore, Puri, Secunderabad, Anand Vihar(Delhi), Dumka and New Jalpaiguri. This apart, 30 Mail/Express trains will be augmented by attaching one extra coach in each of these trains from September to November/December 2014. Moreover, 7 night EMU Specials will also be run daily from 29.09.2014 to 04.10.2014 during Durga Puja.
As a result of running of these special trains and augmentation of existing Mail/Express trains, 1,44,712 number of additional reserved berths will be generated for the benefit of the travelling public.

30 NOS. MAIL/EXPRESS TRAINS AUGMENTED
Howrah-Mumbai Duranto, Howrah-Pune Duranto, Santragachi-Chennai AC Express will be augmented by attaching one AC -2 tier coach each & Howrah-Vasco Amravati Express and Ranchi-New Delhi Garib Rath will be augmented by one AC – 3 tier coach each. Howrah-Yesvantpur Express, Howrah-Puducherry Express, Howrah-Mysore Express, Hatia-Yesvantpur Express, Hatia-Pune Express will be provided with one extra Sleeper Class coach each. Howrah-Puri Dhauli Express, Howrah-Digha Tamralipta Express and Howrah-Digha Kandari Express will also be augmented by attaching one non AC chair car coach each. Similarly Tata-Bilaspur and Jharsuguda-Gondia Passenger trains will be provided with one extra unreserved coach each. The above trains will be augmented during the period from 01.09. 14 to 02
7 NOS. EXTRA SUBURBAN EMU SPECIALS DAILY DURING DURGA PUJA (LATE NIGHT SERVICE)
SER will run 07 extra suburban EMU specials daily during night from 29.09.2014 to 04.10.2014 for the Durga Puja rush. These night EMU Specials will run between Mecheda-Howrah, Howrah-Kharagpur, Kharagpur-Mecheda, Panskura-Howrah, Howrah-Panskura, Amta-Howrah and Howrah-Amta.
Besides, 76 Mail/Express Weekly Special Trains originating from various important places of the country will be passing through South Eastern Railway’s jurisdiction during the festive season.
