ER’S ASANSOL DIVISION LOADED 2808 WAGONS IN A SINGLE DAY o­n 28.2.2021

Kolkata, March 1, 2021:

The freight loading performance of Eastern Railway’s Asansol Division is noteworthy during February 2021. In a single day the Division loaded highest number of 2808 wagons, setting a record number of wagons loaded in a single day.

Eastern Railway’s Asansol Division succeeded in loading 2808 wagons o­n 28.2.2021 which is the highest o­n a single day in 2020-2021, surpassing previous best of 2437 wagons loaded in December 2020. Out of 2808 wagons, coal comprises of 1742 wagons and general goods 1066 wagons. Moreover, the average loading per day in February 2021 was 2002 wagons per day against the set target of 1907 wagons per day.

290.8 wagons per day containing steel and slag have been loaded in the month of February 2021 as against 224.0 wagons per day in the corresponding period of last year, registering a growth of 29.82%. 

72.8 wagons per day containing sand have been loaded in the month of February 2021 as against 4.9 wagons per day in the corresponding period of last year, registering a growth of 1386%.

55.7 wagons per day of stone materials have been loaded in the month of February 2021 as against 1.4 wagons per day in the corresponding period of last year, registering a growth of 3879% over last year.

151 wagons per day of coal has been loaded in the month of February 2021 from Hazratpur siding which was opened after eight years as a part of Business Development Unit’s initiative.

537.0 wagons per day of general goods have been loaded in the month of February 2021 as against 358.3 wagons per day in the corresponding period of last year, registering a growth of 49.87%. This is the best ever in any month.

REGULATION OF TRAIN SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENTAL WORK

 

Kolkata, 26th February, 2021:

 

In view of Traffic-cum-Power Block for 7 hours 10 minutes (10.40 hrs to 17.50 hrs) o­n 01.03.2021 for launching of Normal Height Subway (NHS) in lieu of manned level crossing (JC-4) between Anara and Bagalia and 3 hrs 55 minutes for launching of Foot Over Bridge at Chhara station in Adra-Chandil section of Adra Division, the following train services will be regulated as under :-

Cancellation of Trains

·63598/63597 Asansol-Ranchi-Asansol MEMU Passenger will remain cancelled o­n 01.03.2021.

Rescheduling of Train

·08184 Danapur-Tatanagar Special will leave Danapur at 09.11 hrs instead of 05.46 hrs o­n 01.03.2021.

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains

·02211/02212 Santragachi-Purulia-Howrah Special will be short terminated at Adra and will short originate from Adra o­n 01.03.2021. As a result, there will be no service between Adra-Purulia-Adra o­n 01.03.2021.
