In Tamil Nadu jurisdiction of Southern Railway, there are 95 Railway stations with ‘One Station one Product’ stalls Objective is to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ vision, provide a market for local/indigenous productsIn Tamil Nadu, a total of 593 Artisans, Weavers, Craftsmen and members of marginalized sections are the beneficiaries under OSOP Scheme since inception Southern Railway launched ‘One Station one Product’ (OSOP) scheme across various stations in its jurisdiction with the objectives to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ vision of the Government of India, provide a market for local/indigenous products and create additional income opportunities for the marginalised sections of society. Under this scheme, OSOP outlets at railway stations are allotted for showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to indigenous /local products. The pilot scheme was started on 25.03.2022. As on 15.05.2023, there are 95 OSOP stalls in various Railway stations in the State of Tamil Nadu and 2 OSOP Stalls in the Union Territory ofPuducherry (Annexure-A). These OSOP outlets are designed through National Institute for uniformity. Product Features: The products showcased in ‘One Station one Product’ outlets are specific to that place and include artefacts made by indigenous tribes, handlooms by local weavers, handicrafts like world famous Kanchipuram silk sarees, tanjoredolls,Kovilpatti peanut burfis, spices tea, coffee and other processed/semi processed food items/products indigenously grown in the area. Product categories, under this scheme, broadly include the following:
Beneficiaries: In the state of Tamil Nadu, the OSOP scheme has provided business opportunities for 593 beneficiaries since inception. The beneficiary desirous of running OSOP outlets should be a holder of Artisan/Weaver ID card issued by Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Development Commissioner Handloom, or by the requisite State/Central Government Authority or Individual artisans/weavers/craftsmen enrolled/registered with TRIFED/ NHDC/KVIC etc. or Self Help Groups registered with PMEGP or any eligible member of marginalized/ weaker sections of society. Keeping in mind the objective of this scheme, a transparent mechanism is being followed for allotment of outlets. An Expression of Interest is invited from interested artisan, weavers and other eligible persons. Selection is made based on draw of lots by a committee formed at station level for this purpose. The eligible party (beneficiary) shall set up a stall at Railway station to sell local/indigenous products for 15 days, on payment of a nominal token fee remitted along with the application. Integrated Traffic and Power Block on CSMT – Kalyan / Kasara section for launching of girders and Commissioning of EI on 06/07.05.2023 (Sat/Sun midnight) Central Railway will operate integrated traffic and power block on the CSMT-Kalyan / Kasara sections for the following works : • Launching of 2nd open web girders for Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation India Ltd between Kopar and Thakurli stations from 01.05 hrs to 05.05 hrs on 07.05.2023 (Sat/Sun midnight) involving Up and Down Slow and Fast lines and 5th & 6th lines. • Launching of 10 Girders of 36 m span for Diva Road Over Bridge on the Diva-Thane section from 01.30 hrs to 04.30 hrs on 07.05.2023 (Sat/Sun midnight) involving Up and Down Slow and Fast lines. • Launching of Girders for Road Over Bridge at Titwala on the Ambivali- Khadavli section from 01.00 hrs to 04.45 hrs on 07.05.2023 (Sat/Sun midnight) involving Up and Down lines and EMU sidings and • Commissioning of Electronic Interlocking at Vasind on the Khadavli-Asangaon section between 02.00 hrs to 05.00 hrs on 07.05.2023 (Sat/Sun midnight) involving Up and Down lines. Due to this the train running pattern will be as under:- Suburban Trains • Last Local towards Karjat before the block: A 67 Ambarnath local leaving CSMT at 23.51 hrs. • Last Local towards Kasara before the block: TL 63 Titwala local leaving CSMT at 22.50 hrs. • First Local towards CSMT after the block will be Karjat-CSMT special local leaving Karjat at 04.10 hrs. • First Local towards CSMT after the block: TL 6 CSMT local leaving Titwala at 05.11 hrs. Short Termination / Origin of Suburban Trains • Trains for Titwala TL-65 & 67 leaving CSMT on 06.5.2023 at 23.16 hrs and 23.43 hrs will be short terminated at Thane. • Titwala local TL-2 & 4 for CSMT will run Ex-Thane on 07.5.2023 at 03.56 hrs and 04.32 hrs respectively. Cancellation of Suburban Trains Following suburban trains will be cancelled : • Trains for CSMT leaving Ambarnath on 06.5.2023 at 21.35 hrs • Trains for Ambarnath leaving CSMT on 07.5.2023 at 00.04 hrs, 05.16 hrs and 06.19 hrs • Train for Karjat leaving CSMT on 07.5.2023 at 00.24 hrs • Trains for CSMT on 07.5.2023 leaving Ambarnath at 03.44 hrs, 04.08 hrs, leaving Karjat at 02.33 hrs, 03.40 hrs, leaving Kasara at 03.51 hrs and leaving Kalyan at 04.39 hrs Suburban services between Thane and Karjat/ Kasara will remain suspended from 00.40 hrs to 05.00 hrs on 06/07.05.2023 (Sat/Sun midnight). Mail / Express Trains Regulation of Up trains • 18030 Shalimar-LTT express will be regulated at Asangaon station from 02.37 hrs to 05.00 hrs and will arrive destination 2 hours, 20 minutes later than its scheduled time. • 12810 Howrah-CSMT express will be regulated at Atgaon station from 02.38 hrs to 04.55 hrs and will arrive destination 2 hours, 10 minutes later than its scheduled time. • 20104 Gorakhpur-LTT express will be regulated at Khardi station from 02.55 hrs to 04.55 hrs and will arrive destination 2 hours later than its scheduled time. • 11402 Adilabad-CSMT express and 12152 Shalimar-LTT express will be regulated at Kasara from 03.23 hrs to 05.10 hrs and arrive destination 1 hour and 40 minutes later than its scheduled time. • 12112 Amravati-CSMT express and 12106 Gondia-CSMT express will be regulated at Igatpuri from 03.35 hrs to 04.45 hrs and arrive destination 1 hour and 10 minutes later than its scheduled time. • 17058 Secundreabad-CSMT Devgiri express, 12618 Mangala-Lashwadeep express, and 12138 Punjab Mail will be regulated at Bhusaval and will arrive destination 30 to 40 minutes late. • 12290 Duranto Express will arrive late by 15 to 20 minutes Regulation of Dn trains • 11087 Veraval-Pune Express arriving Vasai Road on 07.05.2023 will be regulated at Bhiwandi Road station from 04.06 hrs to 05.00 hrs and will be brought following 12940 Jaipur-Pune Express.
