- General Manager inspected Dhone - Kacheguda section

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook annual inspection of Dhone -Kacheguda section of Hyderabad Division today i.e., 20th December, 2022. He was accompanied by Shri Sharat Chandrayan, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division, Principal Heads of the various Departments and other senior officials throughout the inspection.

The General Manager commenced the inspection from Dhone – Bogolu section, wherein he inspected safety aspects at manned LC gate, distributed winter jackets to Track Maintainers, tool kits to Electrical maintenance staff, inaugurated ‘Arun Udyan’ Park and planted sapling near Level Crossing (LC) no.164 towards green initiative program at Level Crossing, later he carried out speed test between Dhone – Bogolu – Veldurti section to examine safety aspects at curves and gradients etc.

At Kurnool Railway station the General Manager visited exhibition pavilion set up illustrating performance & achievements of Hyderabad division, inaugurated Leave application and monitoring system, Rolling stock cutting yard at Moula-Ali (via remote video link) and 30KwP Solar plant. He laid foundation stone for the construction of Officer’s rest house. Later he inspected Kurnool Railway station in detail, reviewed the passenger amenities and facilities available at the station and discussed with DRM o­n the scope of further developments. Health unit staff demonstrated the Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedure which is a lifesaving technique that's useful in emergencies, such as a heart attack etc., at the first aid exhibition stall. The General Manager also inspected Railway colony and interacted with the families, and inaugurated Childrens Park. Smt Kangati Sreedevi, Hon'ble MLA, Pattikonda and Shri Abdul Hafeez Khan, Hon'ble MLA, Kurnool met General Manager and discussed the rail developmental issues pertaining to their constituencies.

The General Manager declared Jogulamba Railway Station as Energy Neutral Station, inspected Road Under Bridge at LC No.105 between Itikyla – Poodoor stations, inspected minor bridge no.420 between Poodur – Gadwal section. Further, the General Manager inspected Gadwal Railway station and conducted a detailed inspection of the station premises, circulating area, inaugurated Pandurangaswamy Road station TSS o­n line, Station Record Management System, newly built staff quarters and unveiled digitalisation of safety posters and laid foundation stone for improvement of goods shed. The General Manager examined the major bridge no.398 o­n Krishna river between Gadwal - Sriramnagar , he carried out inspection of gang no.30 & 31, distributed winter jackets to the Track Maintainers.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain under took detailed inspection of Mahbubnagar Railway station. He inspected entire station premises including passenger facilities available in the station, inspected circulating area. Crew lobby, improved Goods shed, inspected safety related items such as Points and Crossings in the station yard, improved Switch Extension Joints etc. Inaugurated slew of infrastructure/staff related facilities which includes combined crew lobby, New Sr. Section Engineer’s office, RPF barracks, Smart water distribution management system, 10 KWP Solar plant, Extended crew rest room, New Railway quarters and inaugurated Financial Dash Board in Hyderabad Bhavan thorough remote video link. He also visited Scouts & Guides District meet.

During the course of the inspection, several Public Representatives met the General Manager and submitted representations regarding passenger amenities, provision of halts, introduction of new trains etc. The General Manager also interacted with the media personnel and briefed them o­n the development plans being undertaken by SCR.
