दकà¥à¤·à¤¿à¤£à¤ªà¥‚रà¥à¤µà¤°à¥‡à¤²à¤µà¥‡ SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY पà¥à¤°à¥‡à¤¸à¤µà¤¿à¤œà¥à¤žà¤ªà¥à¤¤à¤¿ PRESS RELEASE SPECIAL DRIVE “OPERATION THUNDER-2†CONDUCTED AGAINST RAILWAY TICKETING TOUTS IN SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY Kolkata, 31stJuly, 2019: “Operation Thunder-2†was launched over South Eastern Railway to curb the menace of Railway Tickets touting activities in all the four Divisions viz. Kharagpur, Ranchi, Adra and Chakradharpur on 30.07.19. Under this operation, search and raids were conducted simultaneously at 26 cities/towns located in all the four Divisions of S E Railway and 47 touts were arrested duly seizing 731 tickets including e-tickets. Division wise breakup is as follows:-
The value of the live tickets seized is Rs. 2,71,297/-, the value of used tickets seized is Rs. 14,96,156/-. and total value of the seized tickets is Rs. 17,67,453/-. All the arrested persons are being prosecuted U/S 143 of The Railway Act. All the IDs involved in these illegal E-ticketing activities are being deactivated. Previously, Operation Thunder -1 was launched on 13/6/2019 on pan India basis in which S E Railway had arrested 27 touts and seized tickets valued Rs.16,65,389/-. .......
