AIR BRAKE SECTION OF C&W SHOP AT ER’S LILUAH WORKSHOP FULLY OPERATED AS LADIES SECTION Kolkata, March 9, 2022 On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March 2022), a part of Air Brake Section/Carriage & Wagon shop of ER’s Liluah Workshop was inaugurated & established as fully operated ladies section. This section was established to boost up women workforce at Liluah. This all women section deals with outturn of air brake component of carriage & wagon consisting of angle cock, isolation cock, electric valve, passenger emergency alarm valve, passenger emergency signal device. At present 30 lady staff are working in this section. This section giving full outturn with zero failure till date and establishing a new milestone for ladies working in Railways. Medical department of Orthopaedic Hospital/Howrah has celebrated International Women’s Day at Vivekananda Meditation Centre, Howrah on 8.3.2022. It is about celebrating women’s empowerment and raising awareness against bias. Chief Medical Director/Howrah and other senior doctors of Howrah Orthopaedic Hospital were present on the occasion. International Women’s Day was also celebrated in Sealdah division at Manthan/Sealdah where Shri S. P. Singh, DRM/Sealdah and other senior branch officers were present on the occasion. उत्तर मध्य रेलवे जनसम्पर्क कार्यालय उत्तर मध्य रेलवे प्रयागराज पत्रांक:11पीआर/02/2022प्रेस विज्ञप्ति: दिनांक17.02.2022 Over 1820concerns registered through Outreach camps in NCR in 3 weeks Orientation sessions for Act Apprentices also organized In order to address the concerns of candidates appearing in RRB NTPC and RRC level 1 examinations, RRB Allahabad and North Central Railway had opened outreach camps at Agra, Prayagraj and Jhansi to facilitate candidates raising and registering their concerns regarding recruitment methodology. These camps were organized from 28.01.2022 to 16.02.2022. During this period total 128 candidates (Agra-10, Jhansi-17 & Prayagraj-101) visited the physical outreach camps. The camps were manned by officials from personnel branch of the divisions under the overall guidance of Senior Divisional Personnel Officers, in addition to the officials from RRB Allahabad. Apart from physically visiting the camps, 1087 candidates registered their concerns through google link and 612 emails have also been received till 16.02.2022. The High powered committee formed by the Railway Board to look into the concerns of candidates appearing in RRB’s Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) exam and RRC Level 1 recruitment exam visited Prayagraj on 12.02.2022 at the outreach camp to interact with the candidates and sought their suggestions on the recruitment methodology. 100 candidates who appeared in various examinations of Railways attended the session at Coral Club and registered theirconcerns before the committee. All these concerns submitted in these camps has been compiled and sent to the high power committee. After examining these concerns committee is expected to submit their recommendations by first week of March. Apart from these outreach camps, Orientation sessions were also organized for new trainees of Act Apprentice. Under this, the complete information about the Act Apprentice 1961 was provided and the trainees were encouraged to learn more and more technical nuances through this apprenticeship. They were told that this training would improve their skill and after apprenticeship, various options of employment would be available to them. Candidates who have undergone apprentice with Railways are given preference on 20% of seats in RRC Level 1 exam.
