Iradatganj station connected with DFC line Goods trains coming from the direction of Manikpur will be able to go directly to DFCCIL line LC No. 429eliminated North Central Railway has always been ready to provide time bound and safe train travel to the passengers. With the expansion of infrastructure for capacity enhancement, working on the basic mantra of safety as a priority, new technologies are being adopted continuously. In this sequence, the work of commissioning of new electronic interlocking at various stations is also being done continuously. Commissioning of electronic interlocking ensures ease of operation on the one hand and enhanced safety on the other. Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway has been always beena capacity constraint ridden division. In order to improve and streamline its operations, goods trains are being progressively shifted to the newly constructed sections of Eastern DFC. For this, the work of connecting the newly constructed sections with the routes of Indian Railways is being done on priority.A new electronic interlocking M/s Hitachi Rail STS make has been commissioned in place of existingWestres VLM-6 at Iradatganjstation on Howrah-Mumbai route. With this, provision has been made for junction arrangement at Iradatganj station. This has resulted in a single line connection between Iradatganj station and New Karchana (DFCCIL station) towards the link junction on the up side for efficient handling of traffic between DFCCIL and Indian Railways. After this, the system of absolute block working hasbeen established between Iradatganj to New Karchana Junction. Block Proving by Axle Counter using UFSBI system is provided in the DFC single line section ofIradtganj- New Karchana (DFCCIL station). Apart from this, a new data logger has also been installed to strengthen the safetyin operation. Subsequently, the A & D sidings have been removed and level crossing 429near glass factory has also been eliminated. 2

General Manager awarded 05 railway staff of NCR for extraordinary commitment towards safety On 12.04.2022 General Manager, North Central Railway, Shri Pramod Kumar conferred awards to staff for their alertness and contribution towards safety in train operations in the presence of Principal Chief Safety Officer, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta and PHOD’s of North Central Railway. 05 Railway staff were conferred with Safety awards by the General Manager on the occassion. Awarded employees include1. Mr. Tilak Chandra, Pointsman/Ramwa, Prayagraj Division, 2. Mrs.ShadafArshi, Pointsman/Chakeri, Prayagraj Division 3. Mrs.Rinki Devi, Pointsman/Karchana, Prayagraj Division 4. Mr. DayaSagar, Gateman/Ajhai, Agra Division and 5. Shri Balak Ram Verma, Pointsman/Agasod, Jhansi Division. Shri Balak Ram Verma,Pointsman/Agasod, Jhansi Division has been honoured with the Employee of the month of March. Shri Balak Ram Verma noticed 25 KV wire hanging on the railway line of Agasod station on 02.03.2022 and saved a serious accident by informing the concerned. He has done commendable work by ensuring safety in train operations. The General Manager expressed his gratitude to the entire family by sending a letter of appreciation to the wife of Shri Balak Ram Verma. |
