- General Manager inspected Nandyal – Markapur – Vinukonda – Guntur section Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook annual inspection of Nandyal – Markapur – Vinukonda – Guntur section of Guntur Division today i.e., 22nd November, 2022. He was accompanied by Shri M. Ramakrishna, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntur Division, Principal Heads of the various Departments and other senior officials throughout the inspection. The General Manager commenced the inspection at Nandyal Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities available at the station and inspected the Station Master’s office, goods shed and circulating area. He also interacted with the station staff. The General Manager inaugurated Carriage Watering Facility, Sewage Treatment Plant and Renovated Subordinate Rest House at Nandyal. He also laid foundation stone for Construction of Officer’s Rest House at Nandyal. Further, Shri Arun Kumar Jain visited the Railway Colony at Nandyal and reviewed the facilities available at the Railway quarters. He also inspected the Railway Hospital at Nandyal and took stock of the medicines. Later, he inspected the crew running room at Nandyal and also released a guide on location of signals in Guntur Division. Shri Pocha Brahmananda Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Nandyal and Shri Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Nandyal met the General Manager at Nandyal station and discussed on various Rail developmental plans pertaining to their constituencies. Further, the General Manager inspected Level Crossing Gate in Nandyal – Nandipalli section and interacted with the safety staff. He also conducted a detailed inspection of the Bogada Tunnel in Chalama – Diguvametta section. Following this, he visited the Diguvametta Railway station, wherein he inspected the circulating area and reviewed the passenger amenities available at the station. He inspected Road Under Bridge in Cumbum – Tarlupadu section. Later, he proceeded onto Markapur Road Railway station, wherein he inspected of the station premises including Station Master’s office and circulating area. He also inaugurated a Children’s park at Markapur station and planted saplings to promote green environment. Shri M. Sreenivasulu Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, ongole met the General Manager at Donakonda Railway station and discussed on further development plans pertaining to his region. Following this, the General Manager inspected a major bridge in Gundlakamma – Cheekategalapalem section. The General Manager proceeded onto Vinukonda Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities and discussed on further developmental plans with the officials. He also inaugurated an Open Air Gym at Vinukonda and participated in tree plantation program. The General Manager also inspected Level Crossing gate in Narasaraopet – Satlur section. Later, he conducted a detailed inspection of Carriage and Wagon depot at Guntur. During the course of the inspection, several Public Representatives met the General Manager and submitted representations regarding passenger amenities, provision of halts, introduction of new trains etc. The General Manager also interacted with the media personnel and briefed them on development plans being undertaken by SCR. 2

The 45th Management Development Programme (MDP) of N. F. Railway for Senior Subordinates and Senior Supervisors staff of Rangiya division was organized at Rangiya from 15th to 17th December, 2021. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Rahul Gautam, Additional General Manager of N. F. Railway. The programme was attended by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Rangiya division Shri Vijay Kumar Srivastava, senior railway officers from headquarters and participants from various departments. During the closing ceremony, Senior Deputy General Manager Shri Boniface Lakra graced the programme as Chief Guest. The three-day programme was conducted by Efficiency Cell of N. F. Railway, Maligaon. The main objective of this programme was to develop more efficiency and make participants aware about new technological changes. A total of 50 participants comprising senior supervisors and senior subordinates from all departments of Rangiya division participated in the programme. Lectures on various topics were delivered among the participants during all the three days by senior railway officers from different departments of N. F. Railway. The topics of the programme were prepared aiming to improve general attitudes, to find out managerial problems and their solution and to encourage the participants for better rail services. The three days programme was ended with the distribution of appreciation certificates and closing ceremonial speech by Senior Deputy General Manager Shri Boniface Lakra. The programme got its best version by virtue of utmost endeavour and cooperation of DRM of Rangiya division and his team. It is to be mentioned here that N. F. Railway had started conducting MDP since 2009 and so far had conducted 44 such programmes at headquarters and various divisions of N. F. Railway. (Guneet Kaur) CPRO / N.F. RAILWAY
